I’m creating a private Facebook group specifically for wedding vendors. A place where we can connect, ask questions, share information, exchange ideas, recommend one another, and help each other navigate the wedding industry.

I get asked all the time who I recommend for different wedding services, and I would love to build an even stronger network of people I know, trust, and can confidently refer to my couples.

Some weddings are special because of the beautiful details or the perfect venue. And then some weddings are special because you’ve loved the people in them long before there was ever a wedding to plan. 🤍

I met Cori shortly after my son Ryan started middle school. Such a wonderful friend to Ryan, and I honestly don’t remember many events where Cori wasn’t somewhere in the mix. All these years later, that friendship is still there, which makes it even sweeter.

Cori’s mom, Beth, and I became known as the bus drivers. The kids would make plans, and somehow Beth and I were always the two moms loading up a million children and taking them to the next adventure. So many adventures that seemed ordinary at the time but mean absolutely everything to me now.

Looking back, I realize what a gift those years were. Those kids trusted us enough to let us be part of their lives. We had such a great group of kids, and Beth and I got a front-row seat to watch them laugh, grow, make memories, and eventually become adults.

And then, before I knew it, I was helping plan Cori’s wedding in 2022.️ I didn’t know Jared before the wedding planning began, so getting to know the young man Cori had chosen to spend her life with was incredibly special to me. I had watched this little middle-school girl grow up right before my eyes, and now I was helping her prepare to walk down the aisle.

And because weddings like to remind us that we are NEVER completely in control… ours came with a little excitement.

At the last minute, the DJ didn’t show up. No DJ. On the wedding day. So what do you do? You figure it out! Ryan jumped in to help me; my phone suddenly became part of the wedding sound system, and somehow we got the music playing so Cori could walk down the aisle. Was it the plan? Absolutely not. Did she still get married? Absolutely!

Today, I get to watch Cori and Jared in an entirely new season of life, building their family and raising their beautiful little girl.

This is one of the reasons wedding coordination means so much more to me than simply planning a wedding.

Once you step into a wedding, it becomes so much more than timelines, flowers, music, and making sure everything runs smoothly. Weddings are incredibly intimate; you’re invited into one of the most important days in a family’s life, and I never take that for granted.

Every wedding I’ve coordinated has left me with something special. I’ve formed friendships not only with the couples I’ve had the privilege of helping, but with their parents, siblings, grandparents, and families along the way. Each one has reminded me in a different way why I love what I do.

There’s something pretty amazing about starting out as someone hired to coordinate a wedding and walking away feeling like you’ve gained friends. 🤍

A special thank you to **Amber** for your incredibly kind words about the work I did for her son Nathan and daughter-in-law Ember. Hearing that means more to me than you probably realize. Knowing that I helped make such an important day a little easier, a little more beautiful, and a little less stressful is exactly why I continue to love doing this.

Here’s your friendly wedding coordinator reminder: opinions are nice, advice can be helpful, traditions can be beautiful… **but the decisions are YOURS.** 💍🤍

Your wedding does not have to look like your mom’s wedding, your best friend’s wedding, or the wedding you saw on Pinterest last night.

• Garter toss makes you cringe? **Skip it.**
• Bouquet toss? **Definitely not mandatory, bestie.**
• Unity candle or unity ceremony? **Only if it means something to you.**
• Huge bridal party? **Go for it!**
• Two people standing beside you? **Perfect.**
• No bridal party at all? **Also perfect.**
• Traditional wedding cake? Great! 🎂
• Individual mini cakes, cupcakes, donuts, cookies, or your favorite dessert instead? **YES.**
• Don’t want a first dance? **You don’t have to have one.**
• Want a private last dance instead? **Do it.**
• Don’t want to be “given away”? **Change the wording.**
• Want both parents to walk you down the aisle, or no one at all? **Your choice.**
• Hate speeches? **Leave them out.**
• Want to see each other before the ceremony? **Have the first look.**
• Want the first time you see each other to be at the aisle? **Keep that moment.**
• Want pizza at 10 PM because it’s your favorite food? **Order the pizza.** 🍕

Traditions are wonderful **when they feel like you.** But you don’t owe anyone a tradition just because “that’s how weddings are done.”

Listen to the opinions. Take the advice that helps. Smile at the advice that doesn’t. 😉 Then make the decision that feels right for the two of you.

At the end of the day, the only real “must-haves” are the things that make **YOUR hearts happy.** ❤️

Make it personal. Make it meaningful. Make it fun. Make it a little unexpected if you want.

✨ **Back in action and ready for some beautiful weddings!** ✨

I’m so excited for what’s ahead! 💍 I have a gorgeous **October wedding** coming up, followed by **two dreamy November weddings**, and I cannot wait to watch each of these special days come to life.

There’s just something about weddings: the anticipation, the happy tears, the laughter, the little moments nobody else sees, and finally watching everything we’ve planned fall perfectly into place. 🤍

💍CORLEY & GUNNER JACKSON December 2, 2022 🤍

I’m going back a few years for this one because this is a couple and a wedding that I will never forget.

I have known Gunner since he was a young boy, and I’ve also had the privilege of knowing Corley since she was young. I am friends with both of their mothers, so when it came time for these two to get married, this wasn’t just another wedding for me. These were people I loved, families I cared about, and two young people I had watched grow up. I wanted their wedding day to be absolutely perfect.

But THIS WEDDING taught me one of the biggest lessons I have learned in all my years of doing weddings:

You can plan. You can prepare. You can double-check every detail. And sometimes, things can still happen that are completely beyond your control.

We had concerns about the venue going into the wedding, but we hoped those concerns would turn out to be nothing more than nerves. Unfortunately, they weren’t.

There were circumstances that day completely outside of our control, and there were moments when I honestly didn’t know how to fix what was happening around us. And that was probably the hardest part for me.

When you care personally about a bride and groom, you don’t just want to do your job; you want to protect their day. I wanted so badly to give Corley and Gunner everything they had dreamed about, and it broke my heart that some things simply could not be made right.

But here is the beautiful part of their story: A wedding is one day. A marriage is the life you build after it. What Corley and Gunner have built since then means so much more than anything that went wrong that day.

I have watched them love one another through some incredibly difficult seasons. I watched them walk through the heartbreak and uncertainty of infertility, and now I get to watch them love on their precious son.

Maybe that is why, looking back, I don’t want their wedding remembered for what went wrong. I want to remember the two young people standing there choosing each other.

And I think your happily-ever-after turned out pretty beautiful. 🤍

✨ Some wedding-day teams need walkie-talkies. Ashley and I just need THE LOOK. 😂✨

I’ve worked a lot of weddings over the years, but one of my favorite people to have beside me is my daughter-in-law, Ashley Mask. ❤️

**October 10, 2026** 🤍

Some weddings are extra special to be a part of, and this is definitely one of those for me.

I have known Jordan since she was in middle school, and I’ve had the privilege of watching her grow from that sweet young girl into the amazing woman she is today. She has been one of my son’s very best friends since those middle school days, and their friendship has lasted through all the different seasons of growing up. Because of that, Jordan has always held a special place in my heart, and getting to now help plan her wedding feels a little surreal. ❤️

I’ve also had the pleasure of knowing Zachary for quite a while, and I couldn’t be happier that these two found each other. He is such a genuinely wonderful person, and together they make a beautiful couple.

There is something so special about coordinating a wedding when you personally know and love the people behind all the plans. I know how much thought, excitement, and heart Jordan and Zachary are putting into every detail of their day, and I cannot wait to watch it all come together.

When October 10th arrives, my job will be to take all those plans they have worked so hard to create and bring them to life so they can simply soak in every moment of becoming husband and wife. 🤍
