Flowers, come along 🎶on the Block Island Ferry🎶 ⛴️

Slight moment of panic! 😱

When we realized our flower van couldn’t get a spot on the Block Island Ferry.

The numerous phone calls began…. Thankfully there was still weeks left for planning, and overthinking every last detail. The crew assured me many times, they do this all the time, fresh flowers and all.

💡 LESSON LEARNED: Vehicle reservations for the ferry sell out MONTHS in advance!

The Freight Alternative (aka Plan B):
They forklifted all of our arrangements safely onto the lower deck, wrapped securely on pallets.

To make it work, we did some heavy-duty stabilization packing for transit:
* Lined plastic bins with protective wrapping 📦
* Blocked glassware with styrofoam and cardboard to prevent sliding 🛑
* Wedged paper into every single remaining empty space 📄
* Wrapped EVERYTHING in plastic to guard against the ocean wind 💨

All hands on deck!!! Can’t thank this team enough for lending a hand and getting everything off the ferry safely to the Spring House!

Kristin and Paul’s wedding flowers were a success, and they all absolutely LOVED everything! So grateful to have such wonderful clients 💐❤️

We had the absolute pleasure of designing the wedding flowers for Alexandra and Alex’s unforgettable day at the breathtaking Starting Gate at Great Horse.

The last of the passing showers hit right during setup, but so worth it because the rain cleared up for a beautiful outdoor ceremony with a gorgeous view!

We loved the dark green napkins with the lush greenery in their centerpieces! We mixed high and low with candles and more greens with pops of blush pink quicksand roses.

The week or two before your wedding, I am unboxing, cleaning, prepping for your flowers! In this case we have silk flowers, so they can also be done WAY ahead of time. I do everything exactly the same way no matter if I’m using fresh flowers or silk flowers. In some case we’ll use both for a single wedding.

I love that I can open up my bandwidth the week of this wedding by getting so much don’t ahead of schedule!
