Floral Budget hack—for this wedding, we placed empty, water-filled vases directly into the head table landscape ahead of time.

Once the wedding party made their grand entrance, the bridesmaids simply popped their bouquets right into the designated vases.

⚠️ Two Crucial Things to Keep in Mind:

Hydration is Key | Keep the bouquets in water as long as possible earlier in the day. This prevents wilted flowers before they ever hit the reception tables.

The Room Flow | Your guests will likely see the reception room before the bridal party enters. This means those head table vases will look empty during cocktail hour or when guests first sit down.

Flowers, come along 🎶on the Block Island Ferry🎶 ⛴️

Slight moment of panic! 😱

When we realized our flower van couldn’t get a spot on the Block Island Ferry.

The numerous phone calls began…. Thankfully there was still weeks left for planning, and overthinking every last detail. The crew assured me many times, they do this all the time, fresh flowers and all.

💡 LESSON LEARNED: Vehicle reservations for the ferry sell out MONTHS in advance!

The Freight Alternative (aka Plan B):
They forklifted all of our arrangements safely onto the lower deck, wrapped securely on pallets.

To make it work, we did some heavy-duty stabilization packing for transit:
* Lined plastic bins with protective wrapping 📦
* Blocked glassware with styrofoam and cardboard to prevent sliding 🛑
* Wedged paper into every single remaining empty space 📄
* Wrapped EVERYTHING in plastic to guard against the ocean wind 💨

All hands on deck!!! Can’t thank this team enough for lending a hand and getting everything off the ferry safely to the Spring House!

Kristin and Paul’s wedding flowers were a success, and they all absolutely LOVED everything! So grateful to have such wonderful clients 💐❤️
