Hello from Whidbey Island Dahlias! Just a quick note: we've recently expanded to Facebook, but our main story-sharing happens on Instagram ()! Will be posting to this location on a more regular basis.
My story, I worked in the tech world for a few decades at Amazon, Microsoft, and various startups, and even taught. But the call of dahlias was too strong. Growing up on my parents' dahlia farm in Redmond, WA, where we supplied cut flowers to QFC, Safeway and local grocers, this instilled a deep love for dahlias and the flower community. Now, my wife Robin and I are thrilled to be back in the flower/dahlia world!
We're incredibly excited to be in our fourth year of growing these beautiful blooms right here on Whidbey Island! This year, we'll be planting between 10,000 and 12,000 tubers, and we're excited to announce we'll be adding 120-150 new varieties over the next few years through our propagation efforts.
