"A virtual courtroom hearing came to an abrupt paws in southwest Texas on Tuesday when an attorney inadvertently appeared on screen as a computer-filter-generated cat.

The mundane civil forfeiture hearing took a hilarious turn when Presidio County Attorney Rod Ponton arrived in Zoom court in the form of a fluffy white and brown kitten.

For about 30 somewhat awkward, but mostly funny seconds, Ponton struggled to remove the filter.

With other lawyers on screen wryly smiling, 394th Judicial District Court Judge Roy Ferguson tried to walk Ponton through keystrokes. Ponton said he was ready to proceed even in his feline form." - Source NBC News

All day every day, people are posting the best version of themselves, in the perfect stance that looks like they are casually brushing the hair from their face. 🤦‍♀️

Yet I know it’s taken by a professional photographer and at least ten attempts at that photo to get their best pose, all while showing you what amazing thing they have just bought, seen, or experienced. 🖐

You and I watch it like junkies, hour after hour, day after day, year after year, so it’s no wonder we feel lesser than.⛔️

When we are constantly bombarded with the best version of other people, and then look at our own hot mess, of course we don’t measure up.

And those feelings of not measuring up keep us stuck.

Put the phone down.
Shut the computer off.
Quit trying to find the perfect filter on that IG story.

Give some attention to the reality that's in front of YOU right now.

Is it your kids? Your spouse? Your business? Your house?

It may not be perfectly posed or staged or filtered and the kids may not be behaving or your spouse might be driving you bonkers but whatever it is NEEDS your attention more than whatever social media platform you're on or influencer you're buying products from. Just sayin'...

It is Saturday, which, in our opinion, is a great day to paint! Just take an hour and sit in front of a canvas with some candles and some music and paint anything that comes to your mind - who knows, we might take some ideas and turn them into door hangers for everyone to enjoy!
