Hello, everyone. Bittersweet news about Moonbow Art Parties.

After tonight's paint party, I will be going on hiatus. I will still be available for private events, but will be taking a break from public events.

Going to get a little personal, here.

The plan all along was to start an art studio. This was my dream. And it was very close to being realized. But, this is absolutely a night and weekend job, and in planning and hosting more and more events this past year, I've had very little time for my family, myself and my community. And I realized, if I were to start a studio, that studio would in many ways replace the life I want to have with my husband and children. I can't tell you how many times this year my little girl has asked me to play with her or watch a movie with her, and I had to say "I'm sorry honey, mommy's gotta work."

I've loved getting to see your art, your smiles and hear your laughs so often this year. I look forward to seeing you all again soon. ❤️

Thinking about opening a cozy studio and event venue for us. A place to hang our apron. Artsy tables, pretty colors, paintings everywhere, available to rent for parties, art receptions, even for other artists to have paint parties of their own.

It would be the traditional wine & canvas setup for adults, and cookies and refreshments on family night.

SooOOOooo... I would like to apologize to my guests who did not come with children and were hoping to have alcohol with their paint lesson. I did NOT know that our alternate location was alcohol free. 😅

Regardless, the staff was wonderful and the room was nice and quiet. I think Mi Jalisco would be a great place to have our Friday Night children's events.
