When it comes to planning a bohemian wedding, lots and lots of flowers are crucial! However, choosing the right flowers can be kind of hard, so it's best to familiarize yourself with flowers before speaking to your florist. And don't worry, you don't need to know all the names and what they are, but some of the basics would be great. Below, you can find some of the more common filler flowers (you know, the ones that are great for giving you that bulk flower feel without getting too pricey!):

Myrtle - long stem, glossy + full leaf, represents love

Ivy - triangular shape, leaves flow down the stem, has a crazy long lifespan

Miami is such an amazing place for weddings! We're so happy we get to live in a place with so much natural beauty. Though, we know some of our brides may be from out of town, and honestly, we totally dig destination weddings. They are so much fun! I mean, how cool is it to start your entire wedding festivities in a completely new place - or a place you have visited before and are now totally obsessed with! However, they can present a lot of challenges, especially if they're places you have yet to physically visit yet. Here are some tips to ensure your destination wedding isn't an absolute disaster:

🤍Hire a Planner: Planners and coordinators are a good idea regardless of how close or near you are to your venue. I mean, their whole job is to make sure your big day is exactly what you want it to be, which is a great idea when your wedding will be taking place in an area you may not have a whole lot on information about.

🤍Consider Guest Lodging: While it may be super cute to get married on a sweet, little, remote island, if there is only one ferry in and out of their dock and no hotels at the actual location, that's going to be a problem. Think about how your invitees may feel about the location while you choose it.

🤍Visit in Advance: And try to meet all your vendors! The internet can only show and tell you so much. We 100% recommend checking out the place you're literally getting married at at least once! Plus, it's the perfect excuse for a vacation!

Speaking of which, fall will be here sooner than we know it meaning lots of brides will be taking inspiration from this autumnal season. If you're someone who may not be 100% convinced autumn is THE season to wed, here are some pros that'll hopefully persuade you to feel otherwise:

🤍Temperate Weather: In Miami, we need to take advantage of every day that falls below 85°. During fall, temperatures finally become bearable again, which is great for all our lovely outdoor ceremonies!

🤍Autumnal Foliage: Plants that bloom during this time of year are considered some of the loveliest! Sunflowers, chrysanthemums, fountain grass, and marigolds sprout during this season, so if you're a lover of any of these (and much, much more) a fall wedding may be ideal!

🤍Flexibility for Guests: While some may worry the many holidays during this period may be an inconvenience, it may actually work out in many bride and groom's favor. Guests will most likely have lots of time off during this period, especially around Thanksgiving! It'll be a lot easier to get everyone out while they have similar days off as opposed to busier times of the year!

Tropical themed weddings are such fun! Living in Florida (and, more specifically, Miami, we love when people incorporate some of the cute, local foliage into their weddings! If you're looking to pay homage to our beautiful region of sunshine and palm trees, we have some advice for you:

🤍Green is good! If you're a Miami-native like us, you're probably really family with all the greenery we get to see. If a tropical theme is something you're after, we suggest incorporating a lot of that 💚💚💚! Palm leaves are a great way to do this!

🤍Don't be afraid of some newer trends. In fact, some of them can really help push this theme to the next level. One of our fav trends currently is taking portraits with sunglasses! If you're having a tropical wedding, wearing sunglasses in your pictures and during the reception is a super cute detail that can really help sell the theme!

🤍Another great detail that will really help sell the idea (and helps with the bank) is using locally sourced flowers and foods. Want a really nice citrus for your drink menu? May we suggest a Florida staple: 🍊oranges! Interested in using hibiscus flowers? Reach out to local vendors! We love all the tiny details that make up the bigger picture!

• Consider a second look! Guests go c-r-a-z-y for those quick dress changes between the ceremony and reception. Plus, it gives you a nice range of looks for your pictures.

One thing we really loved about this decor were the small rustic elements. Everything from the arbor to the color palette to the wooden chargers (IG: @ / themidish) was *chef's kiss*! This couples decor was too cute to handle.

An especially fun piece was the seating chart wall (IG: @ / basicbirchco). Three types of shots were offered as guests walked up, grabbed a class, and poured from the tap themselves. The starburst shots were particularly a fan favorite!

This couple did such an amazing job of really taking the fall inspo and running with it! The wooden arbor adds such a unique, rustic feel! Putting it behind the sweetheart table was definitely a great call. The flowers, which were a lovely mix of whites, orange, and pops of blue (IG @ / thepetalbarmiami), were such a great tie in.

Okay, so you've done all the bridal shower, engagement party, bach parties, and wedding planning. Great! Now, you get to discuss the part we know you're all really looking forward to: the honeymoon! Whether you're thinking of a honeymoon that is near, far, familiar, new, cozy, adventurous, or anything in between, we have some advice for narrowing down your options

🤍Start With a Bucket List: Have you always wanted to visit Thailand? Paris? Sydney? Make a list of all the places you'd like to go! Define aspects of what is an important part of honeymooning for both of you. Is
"cozy" a must, but "adventurous" less so? Choose a place that is a compromise on both sides. It'll be good practice for the rest of your life!

🤍Consider a Multi-Destination Trip: Maybe you both can't decide on a place that includes aspects you both really, really love. If that's the case, perhaps test out visiting two or three places for your honeymoon! Great honeymoons are a combination of adventure and pampering. So, a week of action in one city followed by rest and relaxation in another may be the way to go.
