The Run

Now that masters week is over, chipping is now allowed on putting green correct?

Best municipal golf course I have ever played. I mean phenomenal. Layout, challenging, beautiful scenery, wildlife, just flat out on par with the best I've ever played. We were on way to Augusta and got rained out at RTJ's Silver Lakes so rain chased us to Cherokee Run.

We are excited to provide transportation for a 50th anniversary tonight at Cherokee Run!

Cherokee Run is proud to recognize Taylor Underwood as a finalist for the Weir PGA Scholarship. The Weir scholarship is awarded to up to three students in the state of Georgia each year. The Weir Foundation provides a full scholarship to the college or university of the student’s choice and is available only to employees or children of employees who are members of the Georgia PGA. Students who are eligible to apply will be considered based on their academic merit as well as other factors. Taylor is the daughter of our PGA Golf Professional, Andy Bowman. She has grown up loving the game of golf and is a very intelligent young lady. She has won a district spelling bee; placed in the 95th percentile according to the SAT, scoring a 1410; was nominated for the Governor’s Honor’s Program; is an AP scholar; and will graduate high school with honors. In addition to her academic success, Taylor has been very involved in her community. Taylor is a student ambassador for her high school, serves on the Sources of Strength su***de prevention organization, and is a member of the Newton County Drug Free Coalition. She is a talented young woman who is gifted in theatrical arts. She has been acting most of her life and will be starring in The Tempest this summer in her role as Ariel at the Shakespeare’s Tavern as part of their teen program. Taylor is such a gifted young lady and we are so proud of her and wish her the best of luck.
