Hey it’s us from thirteen years ago!! (We are a husband and wife duo if you didn’t know!) Pretty amazing that we’ve had the privilege of capturing so many beautiful, sweet weddings and families coming together over the past 11 or 12 years since!!
Our aisle music was Jonsi’s We Bought a Zoo soundtrack and Bethel’s without words album. We had swing dancing instructors teach everyone some basic swing dancing before the open dance floor began. We diy’d a lot of things - including all the ceremony pieces (that blew over like dominoes when a torrential storm rolled in). We got to enjoy our reception tent for about 5 minutes before the storm finally hit, so don’t be like us.. make a rain plan. And hire a planner. ;)
Everyone tells us they can never forget our ceremony, though — when everything started crashing down, wind started blasted sideways, and giant vases and things started shattering as soon as pastor said “man and wife” 🫣😅 it was certainly memorable, and definitely beautiful.
Sam proposed to Grace on a blanket covered in Northstar food, drinks, and candles and forced the emotional wreck that was Grace to sing a duet of All I Ask of You from Phantom of the Opera while he sang and played guitar . She sang the wrong parts but sounded lovely. Lots of years of beautiful memories and four sweet boys who are as crazy as we are have followed since.
Happy anniversary, Grace. I love you. 😘
