These are photos from our exhibit at the Expo. It was great to meet so many brides! And after talking to hundreds of brides about their wedding plans, it seems the hot colors this year are going to be TANGARINE, EGGPLANT and FUSCHIA (not necessarily together). LoveFlowers-Flor del Amor wishes you HAPPY NEW YEAR! As usual, we will be closed from January 1-25. During this time, we will be checking out a new organic grower in Mexico, visiting trendy floral businesses in California and Mexico, and planning for the upcoming 2012 Wedding Season. We are also getting ready for the 2012 Bridal Shows, beginning with Ohio Bridal Expo's Bridal Show, Sunday, Jan 29th at the Aladdin Shrine Center by Easton in Columbus. Mellissa and Javier were married at San Esteban (St. Steven the Martyr) Catholic Church in an intimate ceremony, followed by a huge fiesta at the elegant Emerald Room at the Makoy Center in Hilliard. An abundance of fragrant red roses, pink hydrangeas and Stargazer lilies set the scene.

Melanie and David were married at Burr Oak State Park Lodge on a perfect autumn afternoon in October. These two nature lovers picked the perfect backdrop to celebrate their love and the flowers coordinated perfectly with the setting, both in the lodge and out in the gazebo.

Mellissa and Javier Garcia's wedding was absolutely GORGEOUS! Such a stunningly beautiful bride and we like to think our flowers helped make the day a little extra special. From the intimate cremony at San Esteban (Saint Steven the Martyr) Catholic Church to the elegant reception in the Emerald Ballroom of the Makoy Center in Hilliard, this will be one of the year's highlighted weddings! Simply stunning. Congratulations to the happy couple. Muchisimas felicidades a Mellissa y Javier!

We are getting geared up for Mellissa Vazquez's wedding this FRIDAY! They are getting married on this date because it's the anniversary of the day they met. How romantic! Over 1000 FLOWERS!!!-- mostly red roses and Stargazer lilies. The reception centerpieces are four feet tall: white orchids under water suspended on chains of crystals in 2-foot tall Pilsner vases with an explosion of roses, lilies and pink hydrangeas above. This is a super special and original design I rarely get to show off. Look for photos! And yes, I'm WAY behind on posting photos, I know. We've been busy with Homecomings.
