🗣️Let’s show some love for Event Coordinator, Natasha Coleman, who completed her first-ever Pelotonia ride last weekend! 🎉
Natasha’s journey in her own words:
24 mile gang…WHEW I’m so proud of myself! On Saturday I had the opportunity to ride in Pelotonia.
I’ve been wanting to ride in Pelotonia for some time now and when I finally mustered up the courage to do so, the pandemic happened.
Saturday was finally MY day! I had a smooth ride until I got to the last 4 miles. They almost got me, but I persevered. When I hit the 4 mile marker the music gods must have known I needed some motivation cuz this is what played from my speakers (in that order):
1. - Ready or Not
2. - Hustle Hard
3. - Savage Remix
4. - California Love
And from there on out I was moving!
The inclines were my Achilles heel, but I’m happy to share that I only walked my bike up ☝🏾 hill 😅. I really rode from North Bank Park to Pickerington North High School! 👏🏾💪🏾🥇
Thank you to all of my supporters. You are the real MVP’s!! Special shout out to and Roll: Bicycle Co for their loaner bicycle program.
This ride was dedicated to all those who have lost their battle with cancer, those who are fighting cancer, and those who have survived cancer! 🚴🏾♀️💚🚴🏾♀️💚

💖 VOLUNTEERISM ALERT ‼️
You’re invited to join the community on Saturday, June 17 for a celebration in honor of Juneteenth! The near east side of Columbus is home to Black historical significance of Black cultural expression and production. The buildings tell stories of the people, culture, art, struggle, economics, and more. Juneteenth offers the US an opportunity to celebrate this rich history and tell new stories of freedom, liberation and inspiration.
The mission for Juneteenth On The Ave is to use the now nationally recognized holiday as a platform to acknowledge our history, celebrate the end of chattel slavery and most importantly inspire continued action toward freedom through celebration, cultural expression, and education.
Whether it's assisting with set-up and tear-down or engaging with community members during the celebration, there are volunteer opportunities for everyone courtesy of our friends at Besa:

The Columbus Young Professionals Club (CYP Club) is a membership organization that serves as a hub for social & business networking, recreational sports, workforce development, and giving back in Columbus, Ohio. Founded in 2005, the CYP Club has grown into the largest membership association for young professionals in the nation.
Our mission is to offer connections, access, and value for our members through professional and fun events, quality athletic leagues, and sustainable community impact.
The CYP Club is led by a team of eight paid staff members and nearly 50 volunteers.
Throughout the year, our calendar is full of professional and fun events for our members; some free, some with a fee to enter. This allows the flexibility to attend based on your schedule, your preference, and your wallet. And with more than 150 events & activities and 30 recreational sports leagues to choose from, we encourage members to get outside their comfort zone and try something new. Membership grants you access to all our events, with each event offering a different experience! For most events, attendance can range from a few dozen to a few hundred attendees. And some of our larger initiatives, such as Columbus Young Professionals Week and The Grandview Hop, welcome a few thousand attendees.
We have raised more than $500,000 for local charities through our events. And each month we offer a variety of small group volunteer efforts through our service board, CYP Club Cares, which contributes more than 10,000 volunteer hours each year. CYP Club Cares also hosts the Columbus Volunteer Expo in the spring and Speed Networking with Non-Profits in the fall.
Our organization is also evolving as we continue to grow with and for our community. As an entrepreneurial endeavor, the CYP Club has developed additional initiatives in the areas of workforce development, city guide publishing, and expansion to other markets.
