My heart is full right now looking back at this last year and last 5 years. 5 years ago this month, we moved into our first home and I had my accident (falling and sustaining a brain injury). SO much has changed since then… life, the world, my business, c0vid, relationships… it’s just constant change but also constant growth.

The people I’ve come to know since and because of how life changed 5 years ago has had a profound impact on today. The world is messed up, but to be positive in the face of the negative, there’s been a lot of good too.

This past year alone, our team has grown, we’ve created some spectacular experiences and moments for people, and traveled to new places. And we’re only half way through our events for 2025!

All that to say, thank you! I’m sincerely grateful for the support, referrals, love, and trust you’ve given to me and my team 🫶🏼

Today Thyme & Details turns 5! 🎂 🥂

Five years ago today I was sitting on the front porch, finally registering an LLC for my very own event planning company. Something I’d dreamed of since I can remember.

I had not imagined this venture would turn into what it has. The 2011 Dana would be so proud of the countless hours and grit that brought me to today. There’s no way I would have made it to this day without the endless support of my husband, family, friends, couples, and incredible team 🫶🏻 Thank you 🙏🏻

There’s so much to say but instead of rambling too much, enjoy this collection of old photos and a nostalgic song from Father of the Bride — a piece of inspiration that started this whole journey ✨

Some photos are from my first solo wedding in 2013 (before, after, during) at Dawes Arboretum 🌳 Others are from the first weddings I helped other vendors at as early as 2009. Oh how times and trends have changed since ‘09 😆

On this sunny Friday after a busy few weeks, I’m feeling so ready for wedding season ☀️ I love love and celebration and find myself missing wedding weekends this time of year.

I’m spoiled to witness so many core memories being created in peoples’ lives through weddings. It’s a special feeling that isn’t taken for granted. I’m looking forward to all the memories that will be made this year, in Columbus and other places in the US 🏝️ 🚙
