IRS Refund Direct Deposit Dates 2024

The IRS has announced that the 2024 tax filing season will begin on January 29, 2024. Taxpayers who file their returns electronically and choose direct deposit can expect to receive their refunds within 21 days.

For taxpayers who file their taxes from January 29 in 2024, the estimated refund dates are as follows:

Direct Deposit: February 22, 2024
Mailed Checks: February 24, 2024

The IRS officially opens Monday 1/29🥳.

Returns will no longer be accepted until then. Hub testing ended yesterday.

If you filed and your return was accepted you may see an update on Monday.

If you fall under PATH you WILL NOT see an update on WMR until PATH lifts on February 15th.

State refunds depends on your specific state. It’s best to check their website for updates.

No need to blow up WMR if you know you fall under PATH.
