Nature’s child

Wild and free in this green glade
I dance beneath the leafy shade.

Between shadow shapes and golden rays
On cool and velvet moss I lay
To close my eyes at peace, serene
bright fragrant flowers ignite my dream

A meadow lit by amber glow,
Honeysuckle, orchid and marigold

The bees delight the butterflies too,
as undisturbed this sparkling dew
of morning spring bursts into being
buzzing, fluttering, humming and singing

Cool and clear oh gentle brook,
my fallen grace your current took,
when sweetened breeze upon my brow,
did breathe away my daisy crown.

So rich the emerald sea of ferns
On hillside swell with ardent yearning
to conquer field and forest glade,
before the autumn brings decay

As morning fades and noon recedes
I sense upon the twilight breeze,
a foreboding cloud, the air of change
a distant roar of impatient rage

The storm is moving raging wild,
I open my arms, I feel alive.
Eat the thunder and drink the rain,
I am nature and cannot be tamed.

Fierce yet swift the angry weather
swayed yellow gorse and lilac heather.

The earthly scent of petrichor
rises from the ancient moor.

Sapphire darkness; petals close
glittering silver from heavens arose.

All is quiet, silent and still,
Until the cry of the v***n; shrill

A ghostly white before my eyes
the majestic Barn owl glides on by
as the giant pearl casts resplendent beams
Illuminating secrets and reflecting on streams

I feel it all, the earth vibrating,
tree, soil; energy shaking,
through my bones and through my mind
for I am Echo, natures child

I am a Wellness Advocate with Young Living Essential Oils and my friend and I held our first large event (over 20 people) with Thompson's Country Haven Farm and Event Center.

To secure our reservation, I emailed Vickie and received a prompt reply confirming my date and time that I had requested. She is very positive and accommodating and it was fun to work with her in this way!

She worked with me to see the space ahead of time to get a good feel for my event.

She and Keith ensured the parking situation for my guests and helped everyone find us as we were renting the beautiful basement area.

I provided the food for my event, so there was ample refrigerator space to keep my food fresh.

She has an amazing collection of dishware, platters, water dispensers, coffee, and anything else you can think of that supported exactly what I needed for my event. Tables, chairs, tablecloths, outlets, extension cords. Everything included in our rental.

There is an accessible bathroom and a side room for storing the things we needed for our event, but did not want out in the open.

We had 26 guests and completed a wreath making craft. There was the absolute perfect amount of space to fit everyone comfortably. Besides tables and chairs, there are also comfortable couches and lounge chairs. Just in time for the Christmas season, she and Keith put up multiple vintage ladders and have icicle lights hanging down for the BEST Christmas feel.

They also have an excellent music set-up to create the perfect feel. And an amplifier with a microphone so that all my guests could hear us when it was time for me and my friend to give directions.

I hope that I can fully convey how incredibly grateful I am to have been able to hold my event in this space. Keith and Vickie are very fun to work with. They have thought of everything and you can tell they are passionate about their Event Center. They put a lot of time, care, and thought into everything they do. You definitely want to have your next event on their property.

There are SO many different kinds of events you can hold there. If you need a large space, definitely give them a call or shoot them an email!
