Waiting (impatiently) for all this color to return!

I'm surprised at how many reactions I got to my story post about these pocket boutonnieres, so I wanted to make a permanent spot for them in my feed.

These are so fun to make and are a little more eye-catching than your typical bouts.

If you want to make an impact on your big day, I always say, add more florals! 😉

Where every year starts ➡️ ➡️ ➡️ ✨flower magic✨

Flower magic is timing, hard work, and collaborating with mother nature.

Each new season starts hopeful. Last year was tough with a very wet spring that delayed first plantings and a hot, dry summer which demanded a close eye on watering and fighting ground bees nests.

The beautiful results are worth the struggle.

Collecting marigold seeds from last fall. I will be testing the germination rates on these soon. 🤞

Cobleskill Creek Flower Farm seed packets will be available in the coming weeks - so you can plant your very own Cobleskill Creek blooms in your home gardens to enjoy.

This new season is going to look different without you, pal.

The last six months have been the darkest ones of my life. I know some people will say "it's just a dog" and I say to them, "that makes me sad for you and I hope you find love like this once in your life."

I swear we had whole conversations with just our eyes. He was my comfort and my bravery in one small package. We traversed the country together and started new chapters together, including this one.

I took notes, I watched him closely, and I know the secrets to joy because of that. The simple things are more important than luxuries - sunshine, fresh air, a light breeze, and the best company.

I'd give up anything to have one more interrupted garden moment, Winston ambling over to boop me and request some affection.

I don't believe much in heaven, I don't need to - it was here, on this little plot of land, two souls that understood the other more deeply than anybody could beg for. We just knew what the other needed, without words.

Now I have to believe his energy has been relieved of his body's confines, spread out into sunlight he loved to bask in and into the soft grass that cradled his body. I carry him with me, and I will never put that down.

These blooms are art, and so are you. Keep growing. 💐

The garden is breathing a little easier these cooler days. 🌿

The rain has been just enough to refresh the beds, and at long last, the dahlias are showing off their first blooms—fashionably late this season due to our wet spring and hot, dry summer.

Marigolds are holding strong (seed collection is already in full swing with those guys!), and the later annuals are setting their stride. 🥹❤️

Sunflowers, dahlias, amaranth, dara, cosmos, zinnia, asters, and others are gracing my arrangements. And last but not least, the wild goldenrod is ABUNDANT.
