I created Chuck's BBQ in 1999 to bring mid-western style barbecue to Central California. Growing up in Kansas City, one of the barbecue capitals of the nation, I missed the smoky flavor of barbecued meats. This inspired my mission to bring the ultimate barbecue experience to the Central Valley by creating barbecue food that is rich in flavor, tender, and juicy, leaving the pink smoke ring seen in

smoked meats. Some people mistake the pink for being undercooked but in fact, all meats are slow smoked for hours with fruit wood to provide you with succulent tasting barbecue food. The key to getting the meats tender and flavorful is the indirect heat used when smoking. This method allows the meats to absorb the smoke giving it a distinctive but not overpowering flavor. NO GRILLING HERE! The meat's flavor stands on it's own that many customers prefer not to cover the taste with BBQ sauce; but it's just as delicious with the sauce on!

One of my amazing customers whose wedding we catered back in 2022 had reached out asking if we’d go as far as San Diego to cater their family reunion. Without hesitation, I said YES! I travel a lot for work, and I love doing it. I love towing the smoker up and down the California freeways (maybe not limited to..lol). I especially love that we have customers that enjoy our food enough to have us follow them, wherever they go. Of course, we took advantage and snuck in a beach day 🏖️ Thank you to the Wilson & Woods family for having us 🥳🔥 Take note everyone, we WILL travel for you 🚗💨

Today marks 3 years since we lost my dad. The OG bbqer of the Central Valley 🥹 Time really does fly. It’s easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle of it all. Distracting ourselves with work and not fully allowing emotion/grief to come through. Though it is bittersweet, I proudly wear his name every day to honor him and to keep him alive in our hearts. Thank you, to all of our Chucks and Chuckettes, for keeping his legacy going and keeping us in business. Miss you Dad 🤍

We know how ANNOYING that Ashlan traffic is right now. So we want to accommodate you by RACING to get this BBQ in your tummy! Offering delivery tomorrow, no matter the size of your order. Delivery charges will apply. Free delivery over $50. We will also offer this all next week to accommodate those who have short lunch breaks or want to make a large office order. PRE-ORDER now to guarantee delivery at the time you would like. However, we will take phone orders all day tomorrow. After ordering, we will give you a delivery window/time frame.

🚧 TRAFFIC UPDATE 🚧

Heads up, Chucks & Chuckettes! If you’re planning to stop by in the next few days, please be aware that Ashlan Avenue is currently being repaved, so traffic is moving slower than usual in both the eastbound and westbound directions.

✅ The easiest way to reach us is by coming in from Chestnut or Willow, which should help you avoid most of the delays.

The good news is the roadwork is temporary, and we’re hopeful it will be finished soon!

We appreciate your patience and promise the BBQ is still worth the short detour. 🔥🍖
