The flower trailer is heading into storage today. Just for the winter, so more like hibernation, but it feels bigger than that. Last year at this time, I still had 15+ more events to go before the trailer was done for the year.
The move from central IL down to STL has been extremely hard. Both in my personal life and also in my business. I’ve put myself out there the same way I did when I started this business, and things have gone differently here.
To be 100% transparent, the sales have not been there. The markets have been slow. The pop-ups have been hard to come by. I’ve had some really unfortunate situations with other small businesses here (even women-owned ones) and it’s been weighing heavily on me.
Now I’ve had a few GEMS I’ve worked with and I do my best to focus on those. I’d like to think those people and businesses know who they are.
But after today, I’ve decided I need to step back from the trailer. I’m going to focus on the 2 gorgeous weddings I have left this year, an almost-sold-out pumpkin class, and fresh evergreens for the holidays.
I tell you all this because social media is truly truly truly a highlight reel.
Thank you to everyone who HAS been a positive light for me here in STL, I promise it does not go unnoticed 🫶🏼
