This month, I was profiled for a member spotlight at my FABULOUS co-working space, Limelight CoWorking
Limelight is bright, airy, and full of inspiring and productive people doing amazing work. Between work, school, and this here business, this place has been a Godsend. I struggled a lot with working from home at the beginning of 2020. I need the change of scenery in order to be my most productive self, so I'm super happy to have a great place to work and create!
Shining the spotlight on Limelight member Stephanie Sheeley.
Stephanie is the Strategic Initiatives Manager at the YWCA of Cleveland where her work focuses on programs that aim to eliminate racism and empower women.
She loves being busy, and that’s a good thing, because in addition to her full-time job Stephanie is pursuing her MPA degree (Master of Public Administration) at Cleveland State with a concentration in economic development and city planning. In between all that, she is building another business—Steph R.S. Events because, she says, “I love making things pretty, hosting friends and family, and I hope to eventually own an event space.”
Stephanie sees herself working in public service, most likely in city government, but isn’t sure she’d run for elected office. Right now, she’s running the world from a desk at Limelight which offers her a functional space free of the distractions of home. "Being around others who are focused and productive and doing really cool work inspires me to do my best work," she says.
Stephanie lived in New Orleans for a few years, but has returned to her hometown where she'll stay a while. She enjoys travel and hopes to make a trip to South Africa to experience the places and events that influenced Nelson Mandela and visit other historical places relevant to the African diaspora.
