4th annual Oktoberfest celebration in the books! I say it every year, but truly the best one yet!

🎉 ~20 people; Oldest attendee was 80 years & youngest was 4 months!

🤩 Games were the usual Stein Holding and Ladder Ball with a NEW addition of Axe Throwing & the Costume Contest! All winners received $20 cash 💵

🌭 🥔 🧁 Food was our traditional Schnitzel, Käsespätzle, Kartofellpuffer, Bratwursts, German-style Potato Salad, a Pumpkin Fluff, & Chocolate Cookies 🤤

🥨 NEW this year: A Pretzel Bar w 3 types of pretzels, Red Cabbage, Butterkäse, Gherkins, Leberwurst, & Beer Cheese, w a variety of mustards. 🤤🤤🤤

🎶 The usual Bavarian playlist 🪗

📷 Photo Booth was ELEVATED this year with addition of a balloon arch, courtesy of and a temporary tattoo station to accompany the usual props

🍺 🥃 🍷 The usual assortment of Beer, Wine, Jäger, & other Spirits

FLASHBACK FRIDAY—in honor of Oktoberfest season officially starting in Munich tomorrow, pics from our last annual Oktoberfest party!! Aside from my
husband’s birthday (I LOVE giving birthday celebrations), this is my favorite party we host at home.
🎉 This was about 20 people
🤩 Games were ladder ball & stein-holding, as well as a costume contest. All winners received prizes
📷 Photo Booth
🌭 🥨 🥔 Food included Beer Brats, Schnitzel, Pretzels, Käsespätzle, Kartofellpuffer, & MUCH more
🎵 Bavarian music played the ENTIRE time. My husband even sang at one point (he’s from Munich)
🍺 LOTS OF BEER! (& Riesling, Jäger, & non-alcoholic beverages)

Party always starts at 5pm & I believe this one went till about 3am. 🍻 🍻 🥨 🌭 🍻 🎵 🎶 🍺 🍺 🥇🎤 🪗 🌭 🥨 🥔 🍻 🍻

I cannot wait for this year’s party on October 4 (the official last weekend of Oktoberfest in Munich). New costumes, new games, first timers, & more! Prost! 🍻 😉

The “Beauty-cuterie” (I just made that up but I’m sure others have too) Board! I always keep one of these ready in case someone parties too much & needs to spend the night OR if a planned guest is staying overnight. Even if people bring all their own stuff, it is always appreciated! Whether I know the guest is coming or I see it coming during a get-together, I grab a towel & this board & put it on the bed in the guest room.
*If I did not have a guest room, I would still have the board & everything else, but offer the couch…you don’t need a huge house & tons of room to have a great party 🎈 Cheers 🥂!
