Re-purposing elements from the invitation design can be artfully done without being too “matchy-matchy” as we approach the wedding day decor. It’s a balancing act between weaving a beautiful aesthetic thread from start to finish, and teetering on repetitive.

After a brief phone consultation, O, her mom, and DAD joined us for their design appointment in the studio. Everyone was equally excited to be involved in planning O&C’s once-in-a-lifetime event.
Their traditional invitations were stamped beautifully in soft champagne on the most natural white cotton stock. The package had weight and presented a clean and minimalist aesthetic, focusing on delicate type and a hairline gold border for a finished, tailored effect.

C+E's rich bronze, weathered gold and deep hunter greens included the bride's love of gardenia's and old world charm.
Following their traditional church wedding, guests were treated to a formal reception at The View overlooking beautiful downtown Cincinnati, and dancing under the spectacular Celestial chandelier. If you haven't see it, check out The View!

We had to think "inside the box" to create J+J's invitations. Delivered in a champagne linen drawer, the guests' were treated to nothing less than a true gift - a message of just how important they are to the bride and groom and how special it would be for everyone to gather in their beloved Lake Keowee.

Dark and moody invitations make me feel like perching with a mocktail on strappy gold heels in a candlelit urban ballroom.

Creating a sense of aesthetic cohesion for your wedding is a must, but remember that each individual guest experience can have a unique feel. Lauren and Mario's formal invitation was sleek, clean, and modern, but they included a whimsical map to as a fun way to invite guests to their welcome party - a more laid-back come-as-you-are cocktail party the night before.
Notice as you swipe through how different each element feels from a formality perspective, but stays focused from the perspective of color and typestyle.

The bride's words - simple but sophisticated, and not too stuffy! If you are looking for a style in black and white that does not feel too formal, follow Lauren's lead. Playing with type that is legible, and current, feels welcoming and fresh without feeling like you need to break out your floor-lengths and tuxes.
SISTERS! We were thrilled when we heard from Emily's mom a second time to tell us she was planning another daughter's wedding.
Emily knew from the moment we met what she envisioned for her wedding - classic, clean, and coordinated. Our initial focus was developing a monogram for use pre-wedding and post-ceremony that could tie all of the details together. We love the subtle transition from the intertwined pre-nuptial duogram to the couple's married monogram. It's something they can carry with them for years to come and certainly pulled all of E+K's wedding details together.
