Tech in Nature 🍁🌺

, not only student with an amble amount of talent across a broad range of categories. Not only is she a Communications major in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences at Virginia Tech , but she will also be graduating a minor in Pathways to Sustainability apart of the College of Natural Resources and Environment , all while being a student writer for the College of Architecture, Arts, and Design! Ashley the writer, Ashley the creative, Ashely the flower girl! 🌺 She did it all! Congratulations Ashley on all of your acompliahments and you’re new and upcoming adventure, confusing your education at Tech!

One more bucket list location complete ✅😍

Taylor and Joe brought an electric, and a “just crazy enough to do this” energy that made this day feel completely their own. From the moment I offered Cascades falls and they said yes, I knew they were the right match! every part of it felt real and unfiltered.

We originally were going to start the day at 7am, but with the ever changing weather l, we decided to push back to a late morning. And with the cold brisk morning at our backs, we began the 2 mile uphill hike to the bottom of the falls! In just under an hour, we arrived to our location, only to get set started. And, oh boy, what a cold start it was. Taylor and Joe were absolute troopers, because the second we stepped into the water, it was absolutely FRIGID! 🥶 But the views made it all worth it! From climbing right up next to the falls themselves, to shuffling across the slick rocks so we didn’t bust our butts, everything g was so much fun and an absolute blast! On our way back down from the falls, we even made sure to find some scenic stopping points; including but not limited to a really big rock. It’s not just a boulder, it’s a rock 🥹

After all said and done, and finally making back to our cars with no one hurting themselves (even though there was some close calls….) it was an amazing wrap to the start of this newest wedding adventure!

Sister-sister 👯‍♀️

Kris and Sara, the sister and best friend duo. These two, not only sister by blood but also by chapter ΑΣΤ, had some of the most bubbly personality and most amazing stories! From career changes to working in the arts with children, Kris and Sara really bring so much light to the future!

I’m still feeling incredibly grateful after the Art at The Barn opening.

Thank you to everyone who came out and filled the space with so much support. Seeing so many familiar faces while sharing my work and story was something I won’t forget.

Getting the chance to talk about the journey behind the work was a real honor. Like most creative paths, it’s been full of trial and error, learning, and a lot of encouragement from the people around me. I’m deeply thankful for everyone who has supported me along the way — whether through conversation, encouragement, or simply believing in what I’m trying to create.

Having my work on display at West River Coffee Barn is something I’m incredibly proud of. If you weren’t able to make the opening, the work will be on display throughout March and April, so feel free to stop by, grab a coffee, and check it out.

I’ve also included the full talk I gave below for anyone interested in hearing more about the story behind the work.

Tomorrow is big day!! Thursday, West River Coffee Barn, the Art at the Barn will be opening its new gallery with my work on full display! If you are able, please join us at 5:30 for the opening with refreshments, a short talk, and open Q&A! This exhibition presents the defining landscapes and quiet emotional character of Londonderry and Weston, Vermont. Long associated with a spirit of independence, unity, and a deep respect for history, the region embodies a sense of peace shaped by both its land and its people. Through this collection, the artist seeks to reveal what makes this area distinct—an environment where familiarity, memory, and place are deeply intertwined.

So much has happened over this past year, it’s hard to share everything! So many things are still in the works and so many things that can’t be shared. But everyone one of you has helped me grow as creative and a person.
