As I lay in bed still energized from our amazing day, I can’t help but thank God for all the incredible people who made today possible!!

🌈 Nikki & Ruth and the entire Chisago Lakes Indivisible Group — thank you for cheering on our runners 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ and keeping them fueled with snacks and water!

🚸 Dan and his fantastic crew of crossing guards — your dedication kept our runners safe every step of the way!

🪧 Amy, your creativity with sign-making, your knowledge, and your willingness to jump in wherever needed did not go unnoticed!

🎉 Emmy and your joyful crew of volunteers — the Kids Fun Zone was a blast thanks to you!

📋 Jessie & Alyssa — thank you for your behind-the-scenes support these past few months, and for helping with vendors, the information table, and so much more!

Big love to all our volunteers, vendors, and 5K runners — we can’t wait to see you soon and kick off a day full of pride and community. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💪

We know it’s going to be hot and humid, but we’re ready for it 💪🌈

🧢 Don’t forget your hats, sunscreen, and cooling towels!

The Ladies of the Lakes will be at Chisago Lakes Pride! Please say Hello when you see them. They are full of joy and love to laugh, and share a great time with everyone. This statement is from their website:
"We are the Ladies of the Lakes, a fully professed house of The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence®, formed as a 501 (C) (3) public charitable organization. We are dedicated to the support, education, and development of our community and the world at large. It’s important to know that we’re a razzle-dazzle gaggle of drag nuns that strive for inclusion and love in our community. We work with local organizations to raise funds for LGBTQ-oriented causes and make it our own personal missions to spread joy to everyone we meet. To the outsiders and the insiders, the prejudiced and the privileged, we work for a united community that supports everyone with vigor and compassion.”

Free Mom Hugs will be at Chisago Lakes Pride!
One of my kiddos pulled me over for both of us to receive hugs at a festival last year, and my child’s response was, “Wow Mom, that felt so good! I didn’t expect it to feel that Good. They really are expert huggers!” 😍 I thought so too.
