I’m reflecting today on some of my older work as new inquiries for 2026 and 2027 are pouring into my mailbox. This wedding (from 2021) is really special for me and one of my favorites I’ve ever photographed.
There’s so much noise in the wedding industry these days: trends you need to follow, things you “should” do, checklists you have to keep up with, etc. It seems to me that folks often forget what it’s all about in the first place. To me it’s never been about going after that perfect
“instagramable” frame, following trends (hello “dutch angles”), getting featured in Vogue, creating viral content etc. It’s always been about documenting the feeling of the wedding day (or any event for that matter). That gentle touch, that genuine smile, that soft embrace. Forget the trends, do what feels right to you and capture the real feeling.
