👋🏻 Hey friends! I’m Winterlyn, the face (and camera) behind Winterlyn Photography. I’ve been photographing weddings in Chicago for over 11 years, and what started as a passion has grown into a business I truly love.

A little about me: I’m born and raised in Chicago, married to my grammar school sweetheart, and a mom of four (plus our pup, Red 🐾). When I’m not behind the camera, you can usually find me reading a mystery novel, watching a British crime drama, or attending a networking event / cocktail party for my business.

As for Winterlyn Photography, this next chapter is all about growth and refinement. I’m leaning more into creating an elevated, personal experience for every couple and telling love stories in a way that feels timeless and authentic.

✨ One year ago today, I had the joy of capturing Milteva & Jay’s beautiful wedding at the historic Congress Hotel. In just twelve months, they’ve begun an incredible new chapter. Welcoming a little one into their family and settling into their beautiful new home. 💕

It’s such an honor to witness my couples not only celebrate their wedding day but also continue to grow, transform, and embrace all the milestones that follow. Cheers to this past year of love and new beginnings and to many more ahead! 🥂

Early mornings in Chicago are pure magic ✨ This weekend, I had the joy of meeting up with Erica & Bryce at the Museum Campus for their engagement session and I finally got to meet their sweet baby boy, Cameron! 💙 We laughed, explored, and soaked in that beautiful morning light. I’m beyond thrilled to be part of their wedding day this October at Union Station! It’s going to be an elegant, unforgettable celebration with their family and friends. Counting down the days! 💛

Bethany & Craig’s black-tie celebration at was nothing short of timeless elegance. Despite the summer heat, they were the picture of grace — from their heartfelt first look on Clark Street bridge to the sweetest cameo by their beloved Hudson 🐾.

I first met this incredible couple through their dear friends Tracy & Brian, and from the very start, I knew their wedding would be something extraordinary. Every detail, the lush florals, the refined décor, the energy of the best vendor team in the business — came together seamlessly.

After 11 years together, Kelly & Galen finally said “I do” — and every moment was pure magic. ✨

From their emotional first look at the Art Institute, to iconic portraits at the Wrigley Building, to a show-stopping Rolls-Royce arrival at … they brought style, love, and joy to every frame. 💍
Their ceremony was heartfelt and full of happy tears, and the rest of the night was nothing but celebration for these two incredible souls.
