Our hearts go out to our friends at the Coles County Fair. From one fair family to another, we’re thinking of you and sending strength as you recover and rebuild.

UPDATE: Coles County Fair Director Stacy DeRousse told me that 5 horses and 1 dog died in the Coles County Fairground Fire. There are 5 barns of standardbred race horses that are often in use year round for training, so this was not the Coles County Fair (scheduled to kick off at the end of the month). Only one of the barns caught fire (Barn 2). There was a fast response by folks on site to get as many horses out of the barn, but the fire spread quickly. There may be two additional missing horses, they are trying to locate them. The cause is not certain, the investigation is underway. 📸Christy Lame

In honor of Colton Wrights Birthday today, Colton’s family would like to honor his memory by treating anyone he went to school with to one small dish of ice cream between 5-7 pm today at The Sundae Shoppe.

Colton loved coming to the Sundae Shoppe to get his favorite a Turtle Sundae so his family thought this would be a special way to honor him today.

The Monster Trucks are here and the crew is getting the track ready! We are excited for a fun afternoon and a great crowd today!

💥Join us at the Pit Party at noon, where you can meet the drivers and get up close and personal with the trucks.
💥Then the action starts at 2! Racing, freestyle, and a wheelie contest!

Grandstand admission is $20/adult (16+), $15/child (6-15) and ages 5 and under are FREE!
