https://ucblda.wordpress.com/ The Ballroom and Latin Dance Association is run as a University of Chicago Registered Student Organization.

We teach weekly lessons each academic quarter in two main categories: social salsa and competitive-style ballroom, with occasional workshops in other dances. We also organize monthly DJed dances at The Promontory, 5311 S. Lake Park Ave, and various Socials at the University of Chicago campus. Our competitive Ballroom Team represents the University of Chicago and began competing fall of 2014. Our g

oal is to promote the love of Latin and Ballroom dance on campus and in the neighborhood, and to provide the University of Chicago/Hyde Park community with affordable dance opportunities, so our lessons are $4-$5 and our dances are (almost) always free.

Hello dancers 👋, for the first time in Chicago, we're turning a dance lecture into a fundraiser to support Ukraine. On July 9th @ 2pm at Dance Center Chicago with Alisa Alyabyeva.

ALL money goes to Ukraine! 🇺🇦

Congratulations to BLDA on a successful weekend at the Ohio Star Ball collegiate Challenge. As a team we received 1st in American style and 2nd* in international style team matches. Cheers to a full weekend of fun, dances and hangout!
