🐕 Dory's Monday Message: Lessons from the SAG WAG Edition 🐾 🚴

🏳️‍🌈 🎂 A Month Well Lived 🎂 🏳️‍🌈

June was a big month for Dory.

She celebrated Pride. 🏳️‍🌈

She turned 12 years old. 🎂

She had a birthday party with her pal Louis. They wore custom party hats made by Dory’s Auntie Linda. 🥳

And Team SAG WAG had its first rides of the season. You know what that means: roadside snacks and snuggles (snuggles in this photo provided by Dory’s Auntie Robyn). 🍪

By Dory's standards, it doesn't get much better than that.

I never could have imagined this is what our life would become when I held Dory as a puppy for the first time in August 2014.

Her life is full of so much love and community – and by my standards, it doesn’t get much better than that.

Discernment leadership points us in that same direction. We spend so much time asking, “What should I do?” What if we started asking, “Who am I becoming? Who is shaping my becoming? Whose formation journeys am I part of?”

Although we’re wrapping up the official SAG WAG edition of Dory’s Monday Messages, the season is just beginning.

Here's to many more miles together. 🐕🚴💙

✨ Who helped shape who you are becoming?
✨ Where have you experienced a deep sense of belonging?
✨ How are you helping someone else know they have a place in the pack (or the pace line)?

The Janitor by Duane Hanson

Design Statement:
As “Janitor” invites a closeup doubletake, my floral design asks for consideration of the textural details of common flowers with new eyes. Like people, the hardest workers are often underappreciated. Grouping like blooms together creates individual focal points; and color blocking brings cohesion and movement across the whole form.

alstromeria, amaranthus, baby's breath (gypsophila), carnation (dianthus), delphinium, eucalyptus, statice (limonium), rose (rosa), thistle (eryngium)
