You keep saying you wish fantasy balls were real.

So we made one. 🌙

You know those scenes in fantasy books where everyone gets dressed up, walks into some ridiculously beautiful venue, and spends the night surrounded by magic, music, and people who understand the assignment?

Yeah. We wanted that too.

So on February 13, 2027, we’re bringing The Siren’s Ball to the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk, Virginia.

And we didn’t want to create a night where you just show up, take a few pictures, dance, and go home.

We wanted an EXPERIENCE.

Founder Spotlight: Meet Caitlin!

And just like that, you’ve officially met all five women behind Siren Events.

When we started this, Caitlin thought she was going to handle the accounting. After all, that’s what she does for a living, and she was perfectly happy staying in that lane.

That plan did not last. 😂

Now she’s our resident audiobook specialist, emotional support Siren, heavy-things mover, keeper of the written to-do list, and the person most likely to walk into an event and immediately locate the safe corner.

She also brings a decidedly darker energy to the group. If there’s an opportunity to make something a little moodier, spookier or more dramatic, Caitlin is ready. Her ideal Ball look involves appearing as though she just walked out of Dracula’s castle, and her reading philosophy is basically: if the internet is horrified that a book exists, she probably just added it to her cart.

Outside of Siren Events, Caitlin works in accounting, coaches sports, spends a LOT of time at sporting events, rides horses whenever life actually gives her the chance, and consumes enough audiobooks to have earned her unofficial title as our audiobook specialist.

She originally signed up for spreadsheets.

Somehow that turned into getting back into fancy dresses, fangirling over favorite authors, helping create fantasy events, and making sure all of us keep our ducks from going rogue.

We think that worked out pretty well.

And with Caitlin, you’ve now met all five founders behind Siren Events.

Five very different personalities. Five different strengths. An alarming number of ideas.

And apparently only one designated safe corner.

On February 13, the Chrysler Museum of Art becomes The Siren’s Ball, and we’re creating an entire evening around getting dressed up, stepping out of everyday life and actually having things to experience once you walk through the doors.

Cocktail-style dining. Drinks. Tarot. Our charm bar. Live entertainment and dancing. Photo experiences. Royal Court voting. Our silent auction. And plenty more waiting throughout the night.

You do not need a character costume.

You do not need an elaborate cosplay.

You just need an excuse to dress up, have a ridiculously fun night and make a memory.

Founder Spotlight: Meet Tia! 💙

Tia may be our long-distance Siren, but distance has never stopped her from dropping into the group chat with a completely random “What if we…?” and giving us yet another idea to think about. 😂

A lot of her Siren Events life happens through texts, emails and group chats, where she’s cheering everyone on, throwing ideas into the mix and occasionally sending us down a brand-new rabbit hole.

Her favorite part of all of this is watching those ideas turn into something people actually enjoy. Seeing you interact with our content, show up for our events and watching this little bookish community continue to grow is what makes it worth it.

Outside of Siren Events, Tia is a spreadsheet maker by day and EMT by nights and weekends, loves basically every animal, is easily influenced by cute things on TikTok and is absolutely the friend who will tell you to treat yo’ self.

She’s also currently allowing ACOTAR to become her entire personality, patiently waiting for soup season, and spending enough time driving across the state that Audible deserves an honorary mention in this Founder Spotlight.

And if a conversation with Tia starts with “Sidenote…” or “What if we…?”

Just know there’s a very good chance we’re about to have another project. 😂

Founder Spotlight: Meet Alely! 👋💙

If you’ve ever been to one of our events and actually knew where you were supposed to go, there’s a good chance Alely had something to do with it. 😂

She’s one of the people behind the setup, signs, decorations, and all those little details that take an empty space and make it feel like Siren Events. You’ll also usually find her near the entrance answering questions, directing people, and making sure everyone feels welcome.

One of her favorite parts of all of this is getting to create the kind of bookish experiences we’ve always wanted to see right here in Hampton Roads, without having to travel hours or cross state lines to find them. 📚

Outside of Siren Events, Alely has been an industrial electrician for 18 years, plays the violin, has a house full of teenagers, and is always ready for her next book adventure.

She’s also the founder most likely to say “Why am I like this?” immediately before seeing something fun and deciding “YES. Let’s do that!” 😂

And for the record, if she gets quiet, someone should probably provide a snack and a nap.
