It is CM Duncan's 2nd Birthday! We got him shortly after he was weaned from Copper Creek in the Eastern part of Llano County. He has been the more challenging of our 2 steers to train to be rode, but Im sure he will come around quickly once everything gets settled and we can work with him on a daily basis.

One of the more obvious signs the herd has accepted you as one of their own. I would say Parker was grooming me (since we routinely scratch/ brush him) but the truth is probably closer to, I was sweating and he was licking the salt off me. Either way, Ive been exfoliated now

Today was the day! The Cherokee herd finally made their way to their permanent home. We started with just 3 longhorns last January and now we have 3 separate herds. We feel like the "just getting started" phase is coming to an end and now we can really start growing.

Completely shocked today! We got Trinity almost 10 months ago and she has always been cautious of us. She also has a lower status in the herd so she hangs out in the back. We moved her and a few others back in April to their own herd. Had already had come to the conclusion a while back she just wouldn't be one of our girls that would eat out of our hands. She would look at us when we held a cube out, but wouldn't even sniff at it and just move away if we took a step toward her. We still would try every time we saw them. Then today, out of seemingly no where she takes one, Two, THREE!! Trinity took about a dozen cubes. Didn't have that one on our bingo card

Do you ever have one of those days when you are trying to get a good pic of a new calf and her Momma just won't let you? Two pics that make me laugh everytime I look at them, especially since Brazoria kept Angelina hidden for so long then refused to let me get a pic
