I have to start this post with an apology to the beautiful young lady featured in these photos. ❤️

Veronika’s senior session is one that I have been working on for far longer than I ever intended. I took these photos while I was pregnant, and I had just started working on them when I went into labor. Since then, life has changed in the most amazing way. We were able to do a couple more sessions, and I have slowly been working through this incredible gallery.

The truth is… I took SO many photos that choosing which ones to edit was genuinely difficult. While it may seem like editing photos is simple, it takes a lot of time and care. It means sitting down, going through every single image, and giving each one the attention it deserves.

Becoming a mom again has made me slow down. And honestly, that has been so hard for me.

I have always been someone who wants to get things done, stay caught up, and keep moving forward. I have done my best to keep up with the important things, but this season of life has reminded me that sometimes the most important moments are the ones we cannot get back.

I keep seeing this quote lately:

“The babies that come into this world not wanting to be put down, are born to mamas that need to slow down. And maybe that’s the lesson. Not to do more. Not to keep up. Just to sit. Hold. Breathe. And let the world wait for a minute.”

My daughter has truly taught me that lesson. She has reminded me to slow down, soak in the little moments, and appreciate the time I have with her. I didn’t realize how quickly those moments pass until I looked at my son, who is now 14, and realized how much I wish I could go back and savor more of those days.

Because in the blink of an eye, they grow up.

Veronika is proof of that. I have known her since she was a little girl, and now she has graduated and grown into such a beautiful, talented young woman. Watching her grow and seeing all she has accomplished has been such a privilege.

Veronika, thank you so much for trusting me to capture this special season of your life. I am so sorry it took longer than it should have to finish your gallery, but I hope you know how much care and love went into every single image.

I am so proud of you and cannot wait to see where life takes you. Congratulations, Veronika! ❤️🎓

Let's talk about patience... and being willing to try something new.

I was recently asked if I could tint the windows on this tractor. My answer was, "Yes—I can definitely give it a try!"

I'd tinted a couple of windows before, so I felt confident going into it. But confidence has a funny way of humbling you sometimes. This project turned out to be much more challenging than I expected because the glass was heavily curved—almost bowl-shaped—nothing like the flatter windows I'd worked on before.

It definitely took longer than I planned, but I stuck with it and got the job done.

A huge thank you to the owner for being so patient with me and for not giving up on me while I worked through the learning curve. That kind of support means more than you know.

Is it perfect? No. But every challenge teaches you something. I now know that I can tint curved glass, but I've also learned where I want to set my limits. Going forward, I'll stick to flatter glass where I know I can provide the quality my customers deserve.

Every opportunity is a chance to grow, learn, and better understand your capabilities. I'm grateful for this experience, and I'm excited to keep improving my craft.

Thank you to everyone who trusts S3 Creatives with your projects—even the ones that push me outside my comfort zone!

Sometimes the road we start down isn't the one we're meant to stay on. Not every business venture works out the way we planned, but that doesn't mean the story is over. Often, one door closes so another — and sometimes even better — opportunity can open.

While we'll definitely miss the delicious burgers from Lyle's Chuck Wagon, we're excited to see the next chapter unfold with Lyle's Frosty Longhorn! 🍦🤠

This summer, stop by and treat yourself to some sweet, icy goodness to help beat the Oklahoma heat. From savory to sweet, Lyle's is proving that a new direction can be just as rewarding.
Be sure to swing by, support local, and grab a tasty treat to stay cool all summer long! 🍦☀️
