Three years ago, I took a chance on a dream. Since then, we've had the privilege of serving countless meals and being a part of so many special moments throughout the community.

It was 3 years ago (yesterday) on my mom's 1st birthday in heaven that Home Cooked By Michelle was born. My mom shared her passion for cooking with me, and I know she'd be so proud.

It's been pretty crazy in the kitchen lately and I've been so thankful for the help from Doniel. June is proving to be the busiest month yet, I can't even share how many catering jobs I have on the calendar because someone is bound to remind me I can say NO, but I hate it. And yes I still love what I'm doing!

Thank you for the support, I truly appreciate it.

We had the pleasure of catering a
1year old’s birthday party/family reunion at the Inverness Twsp Hall this afternoon. Good food, great people and a beautifully decorated hall. It was so nice to see many familiar faces 😃

Next up tomorrow is lunch for a bridal party and a graduation party.

Another busy weekend ahead of graduation parties, a catered family reunion/1st birthday party and a couple drop off and pick up jobs.

Today I breaded 150 pieces of chicken for an event tomorrow night.
Will be back in the kitchen tomorrow morning and I’ll take you along (if I remember to take pictures!)
I can’t believe we’re almost halfway through June already.

Catered my daughter Carley’s graduation party today and
man it was a lot of work. Thankful for my family for pitching in to pull it all together. ❤️

Today was the last day of school for my youngest of four daughters, Friday night she'll graduate and it's such a bittersweet feeling. While I'm sad, I'm also really excited, not only for her, but myself included. I sometimes joke with people that I'm tired, I've been parenting for 32 years, Carley was heading off to preschool when my oldest daughter graduated high school. Not that you ever stop parenting, but there's something to be said about getting there to the finish line.

I'm trying to play catch up as I was out all last week sick, come to find out, I had walking pneumonia. So day 3 of antibiotics are making me feel like a new woman. So I'm playing catch up, graduating my last child, catering graduation parties and preparing to host & cook for my own party then college orientation. My next 10 days are going to be busy.

Then there's June and wow, it's going to be a jam packed month!

I hope you all have a nice weekend although the weather isn't looking ideal with a chance of rain Sat/Sun (like we need more rain up here😏) but starting Monday it looks like summer might arrive.
