Yesterday, I had the honor of attending a beautiful Mother’s Day Experience hosted by Cheri and Kevin, the curators of Single and Whole. This event was thoughtfully created to celebrate and honor mothers from every walk of life… single mothers, caregivers, new moms, empty nest moms, women who may not have biological children but nurture and love as mothers, women grieving the loss of their mothers, and so many more.
It was truly an encouraging and empowering experience. Each panelist shared stories and wisdom that resonated deeply, reminding every woman in the room that she is seen, valued, and not forgotten. As mothers and women, we often become so consumed with the responsibilities of everyday life that we forget we have a tribe. A village of people God has placed around us for support, encouragement, and strength.
Since losing my mother in 2021, there has not been a single day that I haven’t missed her. But in His grace and kindness, God has placed incredible mother figures in both my life and the lives of my daughters. For that, I am forever grateful.
As a mother of two daughters, I thank God for entrusting me with the gift of motherhood. And to the women who may not have children of your own, your nurturing spirit, love, and impact are no less meaningful. Isaiah 54:1 reminds us: “Sing, O barren woman, you who have not borne… because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband.” Your purpose, value, and ability to pour into others are deeply significant in the Kingdom of God.
Take a moment to honor and appreciate the beautiful, strong, resilient mothers and mother figures in your life today. Their love leaves a lasting imprint that words can never fully express. 💕
