🍓 Homemade Strawberry Pie
Ingredients:
• 2 baked pie shells (fully cooled)
• 6 tablespoons cornstarch
• 2 cups water
• 2 cups sugar
• 1 large box strawberry Jell-O
• 6 cups diced fresh strawberries (3 cups per pie)
• Whipped cream, for serving
Instructions:
1. Bake and Cool Pie Shells:
Bake two pie shells according to package or recipe directions. Let them cool completely.
2. Make the Glaze:
In a saucepan, combine:
• 6 tablespoons cornstarch
• 2 cups water
• 2 cups sugar
Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Once boiling, cook for 2 minutes, continuing to stir.
3. Add Jell-O:
Remove mixture from heat. Stir in 1 large box of strawberry Jell-O until completely dissolved. Let glaze cool for about 3 minutes.
4. Assemble Pies:
Divide 3 cups of diced strawberries into each cooled pie shell. Arrange strawberries with cut sides down (for a nicer presentation).
5. Add Glaze:
Pour half the Jell-O glaze over each pie, covering the strawberries evenly.
6. Chill:
Refrigerate the pies overnight to fully set.
7. Serve:
Slice and serve on a chilled plate with a generous dollop of whipped cream
