A Small Change With an Important Purpose 🤍
As The Posh Balloon approaches six years in business, I’ve been reflecting on the privilege of being part of so many special moments in your families’ lives.
From first birthdays to baby showers and celebrations of all kinds, you’ve trusted us to capture and share some of your most meaningful memories.
Over the past several months, I’ve personally been stepping away from social media and becoming more intentional about what I share online. It’s made me think more deeply about privacy, especially when it comes to those who are most vulnerable: children.
With that in mind, I’ve made the decision to remove photos showing children’s faces from our Instagram account. Moving forward, we’ll continue sharing the beautiful celebrations we create, but our focus will remain on the decor and details rather than the faces of little ones.
I believe children deserve the opportunity to grow up with their privacy protected and, when they’re old enough, to make their own decisions about their digital footprint.
This isn’t a judgment of anyone else’s choices. It’s simply a decision I’ve made, both personally and as a business owner, to be more thoughtful about the content we put into the world.
After almost six years of creating celebrations for families, one thing hasn’t changed: the people behind these celebrations will always matter more than the content we create.
