Northern Michigan showed off in every way for these two—from the sunset-inspired florals to a hilltop ceremony overlooking Grand Traverse Bay.

But what made this day unforgettable wasn’t just the view or the details (though they were stunning). It was the emotion—the heartfelt vows, the choreographed first dance, and the tear-filled toasts.

It was the kind of night that lingered. That filled your chest with warmth and stayed in your bones leaving you breathless.

Northern Michigan has a way of holding space for these moments—the beauty, the joy, the sweet heartache, and the hope. It’s why I love capturing weddings here. This one? I’ll never forget it.

Obsessed with R + I’s fantasy inspired wedding day at .weddings. These two are the world’s sweetest humans and it was such a joy and privilege to be able to spend the day with them ❤️

When R first reached out to me about their wedding, she said they were planning an elegant/classy day with a magical feel and just a touch of fantasy to honor her and I’s love of fantasy and all things nerdy. And they knocked it out of the park. Like can we take a moment for R’s dress 😍😭 does it get any more magical than those sleeves?

From their first look, to their first dance, to sunset photos, every moment of this day was pure magic! ✨

To say I’m obsessed with this engagement session is an understatement 😍

Emily and Garrett (and R***r!) nailed their engagement session and were so much fun to hang out with! I’m so excited to shoot their wedding next year!

This wedding is an extra special one for me because I did Garrett’s brother’s wedding in 2021 and Emily & Garrett were both part of their wedding party. Yay for a wedding reunion! 🎉 It’s always such an honor to be invited along with my couples as they make these priceless memories ❤️

Hi! It’s me Mandie. Tomorrow is the official start of the 2025 wedding season for me, so what better time for a few wedding day BTS.

I wear too many cameras, always try to have extra pockets for all my couple’s essentials (need someplace to stash your lipstick or your phone, I got you!), will always volunteer to wear the bride’s veil like a scarf if she’s over it and needs someone to hold it. Anything you need, I’m your girl 🥰

I think, in life, we often just need to take time to connect. I’ve been reflecting a lot recently on community and vulnerability, and how often those are some of the things we need most often to find inspiration and creativity. To find kindred spirits and pour freely and abundantly into each other’s cups makes the world a better place for everyone involved.

Winter is a hard time for so many of us (I’m looking at you 200+ inches of snow in Northern Michigan). Yes it’s a time of rest, but when spring comes and the grass starts turning green again and the flowers start to bloom and it’s easier to venture out and see friends and family, and the world is growing again that inspiration always seems to start flowing again.

This week was all of those things. Spring is finally starting to stretch and blossom here in Michigan, and I traveled 2000+ miles to beautiful Oklahoma for community, and new friends, and to connect with like-minded creatives. To learn and explore and make space for more. All the pretty things were an extra bonus cherry on top 🥰

Huge shout out to for being an amazing host and educator and for making space for this awesome group of creatives to come to the table to learn and grow (have some fun!) and flex our creative muscles.

And an extra shoutout to the fantastic team who put together all the pretty things 😍😍😍

Angela & Charlie were my last video wedding of 2024 and we couldn't have asked for a better day! ❤️

Not only were these two the absolute sweetest, but I got to see 3 other at their wedding (2 previous couples and one 2025 couple) and it was the best!
