This is where the magic of wedding design really begins. Taking a simple idea, getting to know our couple, understanding their style, and transforming those few words into an entire experience.

At the iconic William Aiken House in Charleston, we took a classic black-and-white palette and turned it into something completely personal.

For Rihanna and Jonathan, creating a day centered on their loved ones was everything. From crafting a custom gazebo nestled in the gardens of the William Aiken House for a private dining escape to stocking tissues for all the happy tears during the emotional toasts—every single detail was intentionally designed.

When you design with sight, sound, touch, and taste in mind, magic happens. 🥂

Before you fall in love with the venue… make sure it actually works for the wedding you’re dreaming about. ✨

5 things we want every couple to consider before signing the contract:

The real cost. The venue fee is only the starting point.

Capacity vs. Comfort. Just because everyone fits doesn’t mean the space flows.

Your vision. Will the venue work for your design—or will your design have to work around the venue?

The flow. Beauty matters, but how your guests experience the space matters even more.

Hire your planner first. We know the questions to ask, the costs you may not see coming, and the logistics that can make—or break—the experience.

The prettiest venue isn’t always the right venue.

Build your team first. Then find the space that works for your vision, your guests + your investment. 🥂

How is it already mid September? We are so excited to be kicking off our fall season this week with Montage Palmetto Bluff for Kate + Mason’s wedding and TODAY is my BIRTHDAY!! 🍾

Cheers to an amazing event season ahead of us and to 42! I feel so blessed.

Moments like these remind me why I started Intrigue and how much our design and planning process is rooted in the belief that the most unforgettable celebrations are the ones that evoke emotion, are designed around intentional details, and leave guests talking long after the event ends.

The word “Intrigue” represents curiosity, wonder, anticipation, and the unexpected—the feeling of discovering something extraordinary.

It embodies the idea that every event should tell a story, reveal thoughtful details, and unfold in a way that captivates guests from beginning to end.

Rather than simply creating beautiful spaces, Intrigue curates immersive experiences that engage the senses and create lasting memories.

We not only ❤️ what we do but are overly obsessed with making our couples dreams come true and forever grateful for the opportunity.
