What's actually working for me right now ... And then I ask you the same question!

Digital communication was never meant to replace real conversation.

Just wrapped guest-hosting for Rising Tides Live, where we explored communication and digital wellness.

My biggest takeaway: Be the ear, not just the mouth.

Clear communication starts with listening.

Be intentional with our ask and be clear with our answer.

Back in April 2024, I met Mary Beth in the TSA line at the Minneapolis airport. Her and I have been keeping in touch about life, LinkedIn, and AI over the last 2 years.

She's gonna attend one of my live learning sessions next month.

You never know who you're gonna meet when you show up as your true self no matter the environment.

When's the last time you checked in with yourself ?

Show up in light and see how things shift for you.

" I don’t have the time.”

We hear it constantly.

Too busy.

Too overwhelmed.

Too much going on.

Somewhere along the way, being overwhelmed started sounding like a badge of honor. Like proof you’re doing important work.

But running on empty isn’t leadership.

It’s a signal.

A signal that something needs to shift.

That’s why I created Spring Reset, a half-day space to pause, reset, and get honest about what you’re carrying and what you’re ready to release.

And I'm bringing my friend .coco.rogers along for this one.

If you’re feeling stretched thin… this might be the exact permission you’ve been waiting for.

Real talk.

You’re not overwhelmed.

Your communication is.

There’s a difference. Most solo business owners don’t need another productivity hack.
They need:
// Clearer expectations
// Cleaner boundaries
// Fewer reactive replies
// Better rhythms around when and how they communicate

Overwhelm isn’t always about workload.
It’s about digital friction.

The constant context switching.
The open loops in your inbox.
The “quick” messages that turn into 30-minute spirals.

The meetings that could’ve been three sentences or a voice memo.

Walking through London, Islington this week, I realized something:

The quiet isn’t about the city...it’s about my boundaries.

My relationship with technology has structure.

My communication has expectations.

My availability is intentional.

And that changes everything.

This is exactly what I’ll be unpacking in my session on Digital Wellness for Clearer Communication & Collaboration at the Aligned Life Summit.

Not a detox.
Not a productivity sprint.
A clarity strategy.

If you’re feeling stretched thin by constant communication, this conversation is for you.

Watch for more info on the summit coming soon!

It's time to schedule your alignment. We do this for our cars, why not ourselves and our businesses?

When’s the last time you actually looked at your business… without defending it?

Does your calendar feel like you?

Or does it feel like a series of decisions you made because you “should”?

A lot of us built something that works.

But it doesn’t fit anymore.

Crumb culture is subtle.

It’s saying yes when you’re tired.
It’s keeping offers that drain you.
It’s convincing yourself this is just “a busy season.”

The Reset isn’t a cute, inspirational half-day.
It’s space to tell the truth.

About what’s working.
About what’s not.
About what you’re avoiding.
And then — accountability to actually change it.

If you’ve been feeling the quiet nudge that something’s off…
this is where you come to realign it.

Remote-first.

But five daily check-ins.
Make it make sense. 🌎

We can’t say we trust our teams and then design systems that quietly communicate the opposite.

That’s not leadership. That’s anxiety dressed up as productivity.

This is the stuff I talk about with clients behind the scenes.

How your digital habits shape culture.

How your meeting rhythms either build trust or erode it.

How clarity reduces the need for constant “just checking in.”

Whether I’m supporting your event onsite, producing virtually, or leading a digital wellness session… the goal is the same:

• Design experiences and workflows that actually align with how you say you want to lead.

• Remote-first should feel like freedom.
• Not surveillance with better WiFi.

If this hit a nerve, we should probably talk.

You don’t need permission to expand.

But if you’ve been waiting for a sign to stop shrinking yourself to fit rooms you’ve outgrown… this is it.

Create the space.
Claim the voice.
Stop playing small.

The world doesn’t need a quieter version of you. It needs the aligned one.

Behind the scenes at a show in Vegas looks exciting—and it is—but it’s also long days, constant decisions, and a lot of energy going out.

A reminder for anyone working on site: taking breaks isn’t a luxury, it’s part of doing the job well. Hydrate before you’re depleted. Step away before you’re fried. Even five quiet minutes can reset your focus and decision-making.

Your presence is one of your most valuable tools on show site. Protect it.

If you’re here this week, I see you. 🎧☕️
