Gospel night at Joy Lutheran. I forgot to take a picture of the food. Smoked chicken and sausage, potato salad, twice baked potatoes, and bbq beans. Great food, great fellowship, and great music featuring Michael Knight.

Leftovers BBQ had the honor and pleasure of catering Pastor Trey Sansom’s, Joy Lutheran Church, Installation Dinner last Saturday. The menu consisted of smoked pork loin, smoked boudin stuffed pork loin, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans, macaroni & cheese, and rolls.

Come out and support the Channelview FFA Showmanship Show tomorrow (Saturday, January 13th) at the fairgrounds. The show starts at 10:00 a.m. Leftovers will be there in the morning selling breakfast tacos then in the afternoon the menu is hamburgers / cheeseburgers, sausage on a bun or stick, frito pies, hot chocolate, sodas, and fudge. Come on out and support these hardworking kids - hope to see you there!

Dear Targets, Kohl’s, Walmarts, ALDIs, Home Depot , Jewel & all other stores that have self checkout.

You are heading towards almost exclusively self-checkout now.

The lady checking receipts at the exit was stopping everyone.

I didn't choose to participate in that nonsense, I had already

🛒filled my cart
🛒emptied my cart
🛒scanned the items
🛒refilled my cart

and so I just skipped the exit line and left.

I heard her saying "umm - Excuse me “ as I kept walking and raised the receipt above my head, leaving the store.

You can either trust me to do self-checkout, or you can put your cashiers back in place like it used to be.

• I'm not interested in proving that I did your job for you.

• If you want me to be a cashier with no training then that's your problem not mine.

• Keep employing young people and give them job opportunities.

YOU DON'T PAY ME TO SCAN MY OWN SHOPPING.

YOU DON’T GIVE ME STAFF DISCOUNT FOR WORKING FOR YOU.

Not only does Kevin cook some amazing bbq but his Cajun cooking is also delicious. Today’s menu: chicken and sausage gumbo, seafood gumbo, spicy shrimp etoufee, smoked chicken, boudoin, potato salad, rice, crab dip, crackers, and spicy oyster crackers. Huge success for Daddy’s 80th surprise birthday party.
