A day late for Grandparents Day, but this felt too full-circle not to share.

When my youngest son was a baby, I used to sit at my desk working on the computer with him cradled in my lap.

Twenty-five years later, here I am again… working with a baby in my lap. Only this time, it’s my grandson.

I spend Mondays helping out with this sweetie, so my “office” looks a little different one day a week. Apparently, some things really do come full circle.

Building a business has always happened alongside real life: raising kids, growing a family, celebrating milestones and figuring out how to make all the pieces work together.

So if Mondays move at a slightly different pace around here, now you know why. And I wouldn’t trade these unusual working conditions for anything.

Happy Grandparents Day to all the grandparents who know just how special this season of life can be.

Hello, September

August reminded me that sometimes a whole lot of life can happen in one month.

My second eye surgery was a success, which I’m incredibly grateful for, although slowing down during recovery wasn’t always easy with so much happening at P3.

I also traveled to Ohio and had the privilege of helping create a very special 70th birthday fiesta for my aunt. Celebrating family is always meaningful, but being able to bring a little P3 to the celebration made it even more special.

Back home, our newest grandson has started smiling at us which may be one of the sweetest milestones yet.

And now we’re heading into September with some exciting things ahead.

This month we’ll launch our new monthly "Make & Mingle" crafting events in the P3 micro event space, and I’m looking forward to finally sharing more of what we’ve been working on behind the scenes.

I’m also very excited for a girls’ night at The Phantom of the Opera, especially because it will be my granddaughter’s first time experiencing the theatre.

Business, family, celebrations, changes and new beginnings - there’s a little bit of everything happening around here.

I’m grateful for all of it and excited to see what September brings. 🤍

Behind every finished space is a season when it does not look finished at all.

Right now, our micro-event space is in that season.

We are making decisions about the flooring, ceiling, lighting, kitchenette, guest flow, layouts, photo areas, and all the details that will help the space feel comfortable and flexible.

Some improvements will be immediately visible. Others will make the experience work better behind the scenes.

As event planners, we know that a beautiful setup is only part of what makes a gathering successful. The room also needs to function well for food service, seating, activities, photography, vendors, and guests.

We are excited to keep sharing the progress.

Your wedding day should not turn your closest family members or friends into event staff.

A wedding coordinator helps manage the details that keep the day moving, including vendor arrivals, setup questions, timeline management, ceremony transitions, reception activities, and the unexpected issues that should never become the couple’s responsibility.

Venue staff may oversee the building, caterers may manage food service, and photographers should be focused on capturing the day. But your coordinator looks at the entire event and helps all of those moving pieces work together.

The people you love should be celebrating beside you, not watching the clock, answering vendor questions, moving décor, or troubleshooting behind the scenes.

One of the things I love most about being part of the event industry is the opportunity to support and collaborate with other local vendors. 🤍

When Jill, owner of Treasure Trove Wedding & Event Rentals, reached out for help creating custom vinyl designs for some of her newest rental pieces, we were happy to jump in. She shared her ideas and specifications; we created a few options for her to review, and then brought her favorites to life.

Of course, delivering the finished designs also gave me the perfect excuse to visit her beautiful warehouse and see even more of the unique pieces she offers! Once the vinyl was applied and Jill shared photos of the finished products, we were thrilled with how everything came together.

Treasure Trove Rentals is known for fun, interactive rental pieces that help make events memorable—and it was such a pleasure adding the custom details that made these new pieces feel complete.

At Perfect Party Planner, bringing ideas together is what we do. Sometimes that means planning and coordinating an entire event, and other times it means creating the signage, décor, rentals, or thoughtful finishing touches that help someone else’s vision come to life.
