Are you having trouble creating your timeline? We recommend working backward! Figure out what time do you need to be out of your venue. From there, you can start to outline your priorities, for instance, is dinner and toasts or dancing more important? Once you have that prioritized - you can work your way backward from when the night ends to when your ceremony begins and see how much time you can allot to each activity. Remember, if your ceremony & reception are in different locations, leave time for your guests to travel in between and offset the time you'll be taking pictures with a cocktail hour.

Create a seating chart even if you don’t want to... that’s right, WE SAID WHAT WE SAID.
Assigning tables or seats can come with dread for some couples, but this is one of our pro tips, and here’s why: your guests will spend the first 20 minutes wandering if you don’t. Some tables will be way overcrowded, and others will be awkwardly empty. We’ve also seen venues run out of chairs this way.
So, grab a bottle of wine & your honey and spend a night at least creating table assignments. The flow of your wedding will thank you!

It’s never too early to start planning your wedding — in fact, as soon as our clients pick a date we recommend getting their venue reserved right away! After that it’s smart to book your top proprieties. For instance, your photographer is usually next! Remember to first book vendors who can’t pull double duty, meaning they can’t be in two places at once. A carter or florist, for instance, can have staff at two places on the same day, but your DJ cannot!
