Kentucky Florist Association (KFA) This association was established to promote excellence in the Kentucky floral industry through education KFA is the Kentucky Florists' Association.

Established so that all florists and floral designers in Kentucky and the surroundings areas could network, assess the floral industry, and continue education through learning new techniques in floral design with the hope to be more profitable. KFA is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of 19 individuals that are elected/appointed every two years. KFA has an Annual Convention that provides

floral designers top-notch, industry leading designers and business speakers to share the best ideas in the floral industry. KFA also host a Master Florist Program that includes a Beginner's Class, a week-long intensive master florist certification program, and continuing education programs each year.

The floral world has lost a great man and friend. "Doc" worked at Bluegrass Orchids early in his career but most of us knew him from Dreisbach Wholesale in Lexington where he spent 23 years. Doc retired in 2018.

Doc always greeted you with a smile, and an occasional joke and went over the top to take care of his customers.
