😂 This week’s Behind the Badge adventure is the Bear elective Roaring Laughter!

Get ready for some laughs! Roaring Laughter is all about discovering what makes us laugh and sharing that fun with others. Bears will try tongue twisters, play charades, tell their funniest jokes, and practice some classic forms of humor with their den or family. It’s an easy adventure to work on at home and a fun excuse for the whole family to get a little silly together.

🌊 **This week's Behind the Badge adventure is the Tiger elective Tigers in the Water!** 🐯💦

Water is a great place to have fun, and it's even better when you know how to stay safe! In **Tigers in the Water**, Scouts are introduced to basic swimming skills and water safety in a fun, confidence-building way. They'll learn how to safely enter and exit the water, practice blowing bubbles, work on a flutter kick, and enjoy time in the water with their Tiger adult partner using the buddy system. It's a fantastic introduction to becoming comfortable and confident around the water.

Families, this is such a cool opportunity from Arizona State Parks!

The **Arizona Family Campout Program** is made for families who want to try camping but don’t have much experience or all the gear yet. They help teach the basics, including setting up a tent, cooking outside, and enjoying fun outdoor activities together.

Even better: they provide a lot of the camping gear, including tents, mats, lanterns, camp chairs, camp stoves, activity equipment, snacks, water, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.

Fall registration is open now, with events happening at state parks across Arizona from September through December. Kids ages 6+ are welcome.

This would be such a fun first camping trip for families who want to get outside but aren’t sure where to start.

This weeks Behind the Badge adventure is the Webelos elective Math on the Trail! 🧮🥾

Math is everywhere, especially on the trail! In this adventure, Webelos use real world math to measure their walking pace, calculate hiking times, and estimate how long longer treks would take while considering factors like terrain, weather, and rest breaks. This weeks Behind the Badge adventure is the Bear elective Salmon Run! 🐻🐟

From buddy checks to beginner swim tests, Bears will build confidence in and around the water while learning the skills that keep everyone safe. Along the way they’ll practice the buddy system, explore BSA swim ability groups, spend time swimming with family or their den, and even learn how to perform both a reach rescue and a throw rescue. It’s an adventure that’s all about having fun while being prepared.
