I had a meeting at Prestonwood this morning for an upcoming event. Walking in, I felt a surge of energy, excitement, and anticipation. So thankful for what I get to do and be a part of!

I am so happy to share the vow renewal editorial I did with Emily is featured on the front page of today. It was truly the best day with the best team in the dreamiest place. To see it labeled as “the sweetest vow renewal inspiration of all time” is a high honor. I have shared several images here and linked the feature in my stories. During one of our adventures this summer, I came upon a thru street in Charleston I’ve never been down before. I loved it so much that I had to get out and snap a picture. Now, I can see it is very on brand for me; no wonder I loved it!

Our time away (which also included a shoot I have mentioned before!) has left me inspired and energized. And there’s still more summer to enjoy!

Spanish moss and water are two loves in my life. As we prepare for our summer vacations, I am thrilled we will be surrounded by a lot of both! I am also thrilled for an upcoming shoot I have planned with set amongst the Spanish moss at . Oh so excited for what is to come! And I continue to be thankful for all the opportunities to work in my passions!

In a recent episode of This Is Us, Randall says something that resonates so deeply with me. He’s talking about time flying by as you get older. But how…

“In moments like this when you’re around all your favorite people celebrating a really special day, time does slows down ever so much.”

Elsie‘s first birthday party was already a month ago. But it really felt like time slowed down for us. It was so magical.

My heart and desire behind this first birthday party was to honor my maternal grandmother and baby’s namesake. A vintage-inspired tablecloth and a gifted lemon onesie were the catalysts in my Italian garden party design. There are more details to share (and I desperately need to catch up on blogging the parties I have done). For now, we will have to let the images in this carousel speak for me.

I am very, very grateful to the vendors who helped me bring this very personal and special party to life.

Our baby girl turned one this week. Just like that. It truly has been the sweetest year as a family of five.

We had a very special and fun fiesta on her birthday and it continues on Saturday with our families. After many months of planning and anticipation, here we are. I am so thankful to be working with Greenhouse Picker Sisters] CE Rental Raleigh]. Excited and grateful for all of it!

Today I am surrounded by burned down candles with a full heart. Last night we had some friends over to celebrate a birthday. It was a magical night filled with laughter, tears, and fun. Oh, the power of gathering together. Real connection amid the current realities of the world around us was life giving. It was also a sweet reminder of why I love what I do.

Most days this winter (but also, year round!), you will me under a blanket with a lavender oat milk latte or a fruity floral tea. This image keeps coming to the forefront of my mind as a symbol of what this time has been - of the moments of stillness and beauty in the fullness of day-to-day life - as well as a foreshadowing of what is to come. Dreaming of and planning for my baby’s first birthday party has been creatively energizing. I am oh so excited for the flower magic Jenn of is going to create to bring my vision to life. Less than two months to go.
