The location ✨

When venue hunting, there are SO many things that come into play when choosing the perfect location for your wedding. But one of the most underrated? Portrait locations!

The lighting, space, scenery, architecture, and variety of backdrops can make such a difference when it comes to your wedding photos.

And honestly, it makes that photo album reveal even more exciting when you get to see all the different spots your photographer captured throughout the day! 🤍

So when touring venues, don’t just ask yourself, “Do I love this space?”

Ask yourself, “Do I love the places I’ll be photographed here, too?” ✨

Beyond grateful for my girls 💕

When you book with me, I’m the one by your side through all the planning meetings, tastings, tours, walkthroughs, and all the little details leading up to your wedding day. I handle it all with you beforehand, but when the big day arrives, I truly would be lost without my team. 🤍

You’ll have me + at least one of my girls by your side, and they are such a huge part of making the day run seamlessly.

When I’m pulled away to answer a vendor question, check on the bridal party, solve a last-minute detail, or make sure everything is where it needs to be, my girls are right there making sure the to-do list keeps moving.

They anticipate what needs to happen, jump in without hesitation, and help bring everything we planned together to life.

I may be the face you see throughout the planning process, but wedding days are a TEAM effort. And I’m beyond grateful for the girls who show up, work hard, and care about my couples just as much as I do. 🫶🏼

Debbie is my to-do list destroyer 🤍

I met Debbie at the church I used to attend when I lived in Cary, and I’m so thankful that our paths crossed. She is the person who can look at my 47-item to-do list, somehow make sense of it all, and help me actually get it DONE.

She’s also always the first to tell me when I’m not making sense 😂 and somehow has a way of helping me clear my thoughts when my brain is going in a million different directions.

She loves to remind me that my husband, Landen, is her *favorite* to work with—but unfortunately for her, on wedding days, he’s home watching our girls. 😂

So beyond thankful for Debbie, for the way she shows up, keeps me grounded, and helps make every wedding day run a little smoother. I truly couldn’t do it without her! 🫶🏼

Let’s talk wedding entrances 🕺🪩

Gone are the days when every bridesmaid and groomsman had to enter the reception in perfectly matched pairs. While that’s still a classic option, couples are getting much more creative with their grand entrances—and I’m here for it.

The best choice depends entirely on your bridal party. Are they already couples? Are they outgoing? Do they know each other well? Do they love being on the dance floor? Let their personalities guide the decision!

Here are a few of my favorite options:

✨ 1. Traditional Pairs
The classic bridesmaid + groomsman entrance. Timeless, elegant, and always a great choice. (Pro tip: you can pair real-life couples for the reception even if they’re standing in a different order during the ceremony!)

🎶 2. Bridesmaids & Groomsmen Separately (My personal favorite!)
Have each group pick their own entrance song and make it a friendly competition. The energy is always unmatched, and guests love it!

🤍 3. One Big Bridal Party Entrance
Everyone enters together. It’s quick, fun, and perfect if your group is a little more on the shy side.

🥂 4. Just the Newlyweds
This has become so much more popular lately. Sometimes your wedding party has already been “on” all day, and after the ceremony, they’re ready to blend into the crowd. Let them! You still get your big moment while they head straight to cocktail hour or their seats.

At the end of the day, there isn’t a right or wrong choice—only the one that feels the most like you.

Now can we take a moment to appreciate the cutest ring bearers and the absolute hype men bringing up the rear? 😂
