Some dreams wait quietly for decades… until God says, “Now.”
For 30 years, since October 1, 1994, Mark and Traci Froese carried a dream deep in their hearts:
To create a sacred retreat.
A peaceful refuge.
A place where weary leaders and souls in the Christian community could truly rest, be restored, and experience transformation.
Then...summer of 2025 changed everything.
Friends invited them to look at a piece of property. And not just any property… the property. In that moment, what once felt distant became undeniable. The door swung wide open. The dream that waited three decades stepped into the light.
From that day on, it’s been full steam ahead and Whispering Pines was born.
At the heart of Whispering Pines are Mark and Traci themselves. With decades of experience in ministry, coaching, leadership development, and strategic planning, they’ve walked alongside pastors, ministry leaders, and teams through burnout, crisis, and seasons of deep uncertainty. Their work, both inside and outside the church, has helped countless leaders not just survive, but truly thrive.
But what makes them special isn’t just what they’ve done.
It’s how deeply they care.
They’ve mentored leaders, counseled in hard moments, spoken hope into confusion, and created space for clarity when the weight felt unbearable. Their passion for restoration is rooted in lived experience; they know the cost of ministry, and they believe rest is not a luxury, but a calling.
Whispering Pines exists because Mark and Traci believe wholeheartedly in the power of slowing down, reconnecting with God, and allowing renewal to do its quiet, holy work.
Their prayer is simple and bold:
