Concorso Italiano® is the event born in the mid-1980s in Monterey, California. The event brings together numerous prestigious tricolore automotive brands which display their classic and road cars, enhancing the creative dialogue between product and passion in front of the demanding American public, on the undulating green fairways of the Bayonet Black Horse Golf Course overlooking the Pacific Ocea
n. This is the most luxurious and well-known industry showcase of its kind, part of Monterey Car Week. The event is founded on a passion for Italian cars and motorcycles. Concorso Italiano brings together all the cultural elements of Made in Italy, including music, cuisine, fashion, travel and, of course, engines. The event gathers more than 1,000 Italian collector cars and motorcycles on the greens of the Bayonet Black Horse Golf Course in Seaside every year in August: more than five thousand square meters of exhibition area, where supercars, concept-cars, one-offs, extremely limited series of today and yesterday are displayed side by side, parade and compete to be awarded by a selected jury. A day where you can breathe the true 360° tricolore passion: passion for Made in Italy engines and for the Bel Paese but also an opportunity for meeting international motoring personalities who share the love for Italy. Over the years it has distinguished itself by having an increasingly international scope, and the enthusiasts who participate come from all over the world. Eighty percent are entrepreneurs or professionals, and 70 percent are in the highest income bracket. Concorso Italiano® is also a major contributor to many local, national and international charities. In March 2020, Concorso launched an appeal to help doctors and communities support the people in Italy, especially the elderly, who were devastated by the Covid pandemic. The proceeds went to the Bergamo hospital and the CESVI Foundation to provide protective supplies for health care workers and support for affected and vulnerable families. In America, Concorso supports Habitat for Humanity, building homes for disadvantaged families.
