My daughter is my greatest muse, the quiet inspiration behind everything I create as a photographer. Through her, I discovered not only my love for photography, but my true niche, capturing the natural beauty of childhood as it unfolds. Photographing her taught me to slow down, to observe, and to appreciate the magic found in unposed moments. It was with her that I realized how deeply I love photographing children, not as subjects, but as stories in motion. I am drawn to the way children move freely, laugh without restraint, and express emotion without filters. Those honest, fleeting moments are what I seek through my lens. She showed me that photography doesn’t need direction to be meaningful; it needs presence. Every photograph I take of her reminds me why authenticity matters more than perfection. Because of her, my work became more intuitive, more emotional, and more alive. She didn’t just inspire my style, she shaped my vision and gave my photography its heart.

I actually remember when I was three years old. I had a bear named Mishka, which translates to “bear” in English. Now my three year old daughter also has a bear. His name is Mr. Bear. When I watch her and observe her, which I often do, I catch glimpses of my own childhood. I remember the innocence, the purity, and the quiet world that lived inside me, just as it does within every child. There is such pure joy in the simplest things. It is so beautifully overwhelming that it makes you realize happiness may truly live in simplicity.

We got a little creative at home, grabbed a glass shelf from the fridge, sprayed it with fake snow, and instantly turned it into a winter wonderland. It was such a fun little experiment!

I took these photos on my phone and gave them a tiny edit, but in my defense, I had to get them ready to play in the snow! There was no time to grab my camera, and I absolutely couldn’t miss these beautiful moments 🙈 ❄️ ⛄️

Emma and the ghost When it comes to a three-year-old, I sometimes run out of ideas to keep them busy or entertained. I’m so glad my love for photography has become one of our favorite activities at home 😄📸

When I take photos with my two-year-old, it’s more than just getting a good shot, it’s about enjoying the moment together. I let her explore, laugh, and move freely. I don’t worry about a perfect pose, I don’t search for perfect lighting. I focus on production after, during the photoshoot we both play.
