Thank you, Solano Avenue Association for having & DJ boyofsummer at Spring on Solano yesterday. We had a blast! The weather was spectacular & The Avenue was really popping & grooving. We captured a 3-Part High Quality digital archive & uploaded to my Mixcloud: a short set before the Albany Senior Center Singers (great performance, amazing songbook, video in comments) & another 2 recordings after our break. Your DJ boyofsummer is excited to be spinning with Marin Cyclists this Saturday, Aug. 2nd. I am riding the Metric Century & bringing some funky records to the post-ride party which features two live bands. Marin Cyclists signature event, the Marin Century has been held annually on the first Saturday in August since their founding in 1963, making it one of the longest continuously running events of its kind in the USA. Online reg. is now closed, but a limited number of tickets for the Century, Metric and Geronimo routes will be available on site on Saturday Aug 2 at the registration booth on a first come first served basis. What a blast I had this past weekend at Truckee Tahoe Gravel. This was my first time doing the event. I knew it would be amazing because the Truckee-Tahoe community is so special & Bike Monkey events are simply the best. The weather was perfect & the course was spectacular. Big Ups to Carlos, Erica & the whole Bike Monkey team for absolutely crushing it. I am grateful for the opportunity to throw down some funky jams at the Friday Packet Pick-up Party & Vendor Expo.
