🚨 EXCUSE ME WHILE I INTERRUPT YOUR SCROLL BECAUSE OCTOBER JUST WALKED IN LIKE SHE OWNS THE PLACE. 💅🏼🎃

And honestly? I like her energy. 😂

She brought cooler mornings, pumpkins, football, hoodies, paint parties and just enough spooky to keep things interesting. 👻🍂

But around here, October isn’t getting the plain ol’ orange-and-brown treatment.

Ohhhh no, ma’am. 💁🏼‍♀️

We’re doing October the SASSY way — hot pink, turquoise, leopard print, pops of orange, a little sparkle and ALLLL the personality. 💖✨🎨

🎓🏈 COLLEGE TEAM FANS — I NEED YOUR HELP! 🏈🎓

I’m thinking about adding some collegiate team goodies to the shop, especially with Christmas shopping right around the corner! 🎄

I’m looking at a few things that I think would make AWESOME gifts:

🎄 Team ornaments
🌻 Garden flags
🍽️ Game-day entertaining pieces — think chip & dip trays and serving dishes
👕 And possibly collegiate performance polos for the dudes at Dude Depot NC

But before I start ordering… I NEED TO KNOW WHICH TEAMS YOU WANT! 👀

🌻 MONDAY MINDSET 🌻

65° in Central North Carolina this morning and you KNOW I had to take advantage of it! 🙌🍂

So here I am, painting my whimsical pumpkins out on the patio, listening to my chickens bok bok bok 🐔😂, watching the dogs run around, and just soaking it all in.

Nothing fancy.
Nothing complicated.
Just a cool morning, paint on my hands, a project I love, and a whole lot of little things making me smile. 🎨🧡

And honestly… it’s always brighter when you appreciate the small things. ✨

We spend so much time waiting for the BIG moments that sometimes we miss the good stuff happening right in front of us.

So today, I’m choosing to notice it.

The cool breeze.
The sunshine.
The sound of the chickens.
The dogs being crazy. 😂
A paintbrush in my hand.
A little creativity.
A peaceful moment.

Those little things? They’re the good stuff. ❤️

✨ SASSY SUNDAY ✨
Real life. Real talk. A little sass.

Okay friends… let’s talk about ADULT DECISIONS. 😂

I have a Dementia Gala this coming Friday and, like a responsible adult, I had already ordered TWO dresses online. 👗👗

But then…

You go shopping with your girlfriends.
You’re minding your own business.
And suddenly you see THIS. 👀

Of course I had to try it on.
Because apparently I have no choice when sequins and a fabulous bow are involved. 😂

And y’all…

I FELT FABULOUS.
I mean… LOOK AT HER. 💁‍♀️✨

But then adult me walked into the dressing room and had a little conversation with sassy me.

Sassy me: “GIRL. You look AMAZING. BUY IT.” 💃🏼

Adult me: “It’s $200 and you already have TWO dresses coming.” 😐

Sassy me: “But… THE BOW.” 🎀

Adult me: “NO.” 😂

And guess what?

I LEFT IT AT THE STORE.

And you know what? THAT'S OKAY.

Because sometimes being an adult means admitting that something can be absolutely fabulous, look amazing on you, make you feel like a million bucks…

…and still not be worth spending $200 on an outfit you're probably going to wear ONE NIGHT.

Does that mean I didn't want it?

HECK NO. 😂

I wanted it BAD.

But I also know that there will be another fabulous outfit, another fun shopping day, another reason to get dressed up, and another opportunity to pull out a little sass.

So today’s Sassy Sunday reminder:

You can love something and still leave it behind. ❤️

You can feel fabulous without buying the whole dang store.

And sometimes the most grown-up thing you can do is put the pretty thing back on the rack and walk away…

even when that bow is screaming your name. 😂🎀

Now I need to know…
