One year ago today was the first official wedding for Carrie Anne Events. I had been working a short time for a non-profit and things were not as they seemed. Walking away, and wondering why this was happening, what was God doing?? He always speaks to me in my sleep. It’s when I’m quiet and still. He gave me a dream and then He said “Jump”. That was it, but I knew. And I did. I set a goal to have 6 weddings booked by the end of 2026. Here we are one year later, 2026 is booked completely full, 2027 has several months that are almost booked up, 2028 is already getting multiple weddings, I have 6 people who help me when needed on wedding days, and we can now do two weddings per day.

Shanna Parker, Brandon Parker, and Anita Latendresse have been some of my biggest cheerleaders. I am forever grateful to them for being the first to trust Carrie Anne Events, and being the first to recommend me to others. This isn’t the first time they have given my family something that was life changing, and I am forever grateful.

Here’s to brown linens, cool crisp receptions with fire pits, a nice faux fur coverlet for the bride, tiny white pumpkins tucked amongst the autumn florals, guys wrapped around the tv sneaking peeks of their favorite game while we set up tables and decor, and groomsmen not sweating through their jackets as they walk down the aisle. The BER months have arrived and I’m just waiting on Mother Nature to catch up as we enter the busiest season for Carrie Anne Events. Let’s do this! 🍂 🍁🤎🧡💛

I am so sad that I keep seeing wedding vendors dropping clients right at the last minute over and over. The wedding industry is huge, but here’s the deal, it’s also tiny in some ways. We all know one another. I’ve been friends with venue managers and owners, photographers, DJ’s, caterers, florists, bakeries, live painters, Photo Booth owners, etc, etc, etc, for a long time. 100’s and 100’s. And YES! Even other planners and coordinators. We are constantly coming together, every weekend, to create amazing experiences for our couples. And here’s something else, if I don’t know a particular vendor yet, I can guarantee you I know someone who does, provided they are a legitimate wedding vendor who is really striving to make a go of a new business. Those brand new people are happy to have experienced vendors around them, giving advice, just sharing stories of our experiences.

So my advice to couples searching for a team of people to help you with your day is to find at least a couple who are well seasoned in this wedding world, who know lots of vendors, and then pick their brains. All the great vendors want your day to be amazing because that just makes our day amazing as well. I have vendors in every price point who provide amazing customer service, communication, and services. And I know every other guaranteed wedding vendor has the same.

I know weddings are expensive, I know everything is at an all time high, but please check out your vendors before booking them. I have client referrals, vendor referrals, preferred vendor status at venues, and there are another 15 planners that I can think of off the top of my head that have the same. If I’m not your cup of tea, I bet I know someone who would be perfect for your day.
