When a child doesn’t respond to the way we teach, we often start to wonder what’s wrong with THEM.

Are they slow to learn? Being difficult? Not trying hard enough?

But rarely do we pause and ask:
Could it be the WAY that’s not working?
Could it be US who needs to shift?

Every child is wired differently.
What resonates with one may leave another confused or unseen.

And parenting isn’t about perfecting one rigid method — it’s about staying attuned, adjusting the environment, and honouring the uniqueness in front of us.

Some children need more time.
Others need fewer words.
Some need movement, others stillness.
Most need to feel safe before they can even BEGIN to absorb what we’re trying to teach.

To change the way is not failure.
It’s wisdom.
It’s humility.
It’s the willingness to meet the child we have — not the one we imagined — and to walk beside them in a way that actually reaches them.

Because when something isn’t landing,
it’s not a signal to push harder —
it’s a call to listen deeper. ❤️
